Now that spring is finally here, get out and explore Concord Township! Did you know there are miles of trails throughout the Township? Check out these sites:

Concord Township Park - These resident favorite paved trails are located at 689 Smithbridge Road, adjacent to the

Rachel Kohl Library and Garnet Valley School District complex. Bring the kids to see the recently renovated, acces-sible playground!

Concord Township Municipal Complex - Not only paved paths around the ballfields, but grass trails through the

local woodlands provide a great alternative to the paved path. These grass trails include a connecting trail, that is steep and challenging, to the rear of the Newlin Grist Mill site.

Newlin Grist Mill - Located at 219 S. Cheyney Road, the Newlin Grist Mill has miles of beautiful trails of varying diffi-

culty. Simply put, it’s a hidden gem within the Township, with year-round events for the whole family. http://www.newlingristmill.org/

Beaver Valley / First State National Historical Park (map attached) - This new park may be in its infancy, but the

Beaver Valley trails are not. It easily rivals the Newlin Grist Mill for the best trails in the Township. https://www.nps.gov/frst/planyourvisit/beaver-valley.htm

Please be sure to follow all applicable rules and regulations for each site. In future newsletters, look for updates on some current trail projects, including the Octoraro Trail and Garnet Valley Greenway!

Be sure to sign up on the Township’s website to receive information regarding Trails, Open Space and more!

In March 2017, Delaware County was ordered by the Court to conduct a countywide property tax reassessment, effec-tive for the 2021 tax year. Delaware County Council contracted with Tyler Technologies Inc. in 2017 to provide real property appraisal services for the County’s 2020 general reassessment. The project, which is being implemented through the County Treasurer’s Office, will utilize Tyler’s appraisal and street imaging services. Council also contracted with Eagleview to provide pictometry imagery of properties.

Delaware County has set up a website dedicated to educating residents and answering questions regarding Delaware County’s Tax Reassessment Project. The website includes a video presentation on the Tax Reassessment process. The website can be found here: http://delcorealestate.co.delaware.pa.us/delcoreassessment/

A Reassessment Hotline has also been set up for residents to call with any questions or concerns: 610-891-5695.
