Doors

We are using an overlay door (type) and a recessed panel (style).

The stiles and rails are a mortise and tenon joint to put together.

We are using a concealed hinge called a Blum hinge. The width of our stiles and rails are 2 ¼”. The door size will be 13/16” larger than the width of

the opening of the face frame. The panel inside our door will be made out of “full ¼”. We will insert filler plugs/inserts in our tenon lip to

make sure our panels do not rattle inside our door frame.

Other Information

There is a 1” reveal between cabinet door and drawers.

We will put on a ¾” or 1 ½”oak stock cap to dress up a shelf to cover up the particle board.

The valance is the board put across the top and wall cabinets to fill in the gap above the sink area.

Install the corner cabinet first. One should also install uppers before the base cabinets.

The front stiles should be flush when installing cabinets.

The face frame on a wall cabinet is installed ½” down from the top body piece of a cabinet.
