All Together Now:Cultivating Creativity through Design and Collaboration

As we prepare our students for success in our global society, there are few priorities that are more important than continued integration of the arts into the curriculum. The benefits of the arts are many of course, but perhaps most importantly, involvement with the arts can be a pathway to higher order thinking which in turn will have an exponential effect on a child’s learning. Join elementary teacher, Laurie Moreno and music specialist, Larry Schanker in an investigation of how follow up work to lessons and extensions to assignments across the curriculum can harness the power of creativity in the child, improve their critical thinking skills, and successfully infuse the curriculum with music, artand theatre.
