  • Last February 6-8 of this

    year, 50 private and pub-

    lic schools across the

    country participated in

    the 12th National Science

    Quest held at Pasig City.

The 3 day contest aims to

    promote academic excel-

    lence in Science and cre-

    ate camaraderie and

    sportsmanship among

    students and coaches.

    Aside from the prestige of

    winning, this competition

    also provides a venue for

    the students where they

    can develop their poten-

    tials, apply what they have

    learned and boost up their

    confidence to fully show

    their skills and knowledge

    in such learning area.

    Fortunately, HTS partici-

    pated in this contest and

    congratulations to Bea

Cassandra De Ocampo of Grade 5 St. Anthony for

    securing the SECOND

    PLACE in the Science

    Quiz Bee Category. De-

    spite the nerve-wrecking

    competition that brought

    her to tie-breaker ques-

    tions from District, to Di-

    vision, to Regional and

    even up to National Level,

    De Ocampo strongly made

    it on top. She received

    a trophy and certificate

on the last day of the

    event.

    May this award inspires

    her and our school to

    strive for excellence in

    the coming years as it

    signifies all the hard

    work and commitment

    exerted by De Ocampo

    and her coach Ms.

    Jovelle M. Harina dur-

    ing their reviews.

    TO GOD BE ALL THE

    GLORY!!!PROUD TO BE A

    TRINITARIAN!!!

Its been a privilege for our school, not just to

    be part of the Science

Quest , but also to be in-

    cluded to those who made

it on top. And just re-

    cently, another student tri-

    umph in the Science Quest

    Regional Level. The

    fourth year student, AN-

    GELA MAE V. CASTI-

    LLO won as the SEC-

    OND PLACE WINNER in

    the Collage Making Con-

test in the said event that

    was held at Holy Nazarene

    School, Tanza, Cavite last

    November 2, 2014. This

    was joined by different

    competitive schools all

    over the region.

    Castillo prepared

for almost a month for this

    competition under the su-

    pervision of her Science

    teacher Miss Jovelle M.

    Harina. During the said

    competition, all contest-

    ants were given two hours

    to create an artwork using

    indigenous materials that

    will best reflect the theme

    about the environment.

    And fortunately, the crea-

    tive hands and imagina-

    tions of Castillo reached

    the expectations of the

    judges. This shows that

    success will always be

    achieved by those who are

    determined, dedicated and

    have faith in God.

    Nito lamang ika-22 ng

    Agosto, lumahok ang 30

    piling mga mag-aaral sa

    elementarya (Baitang 4, 5,

at 6) ng ating paaralan sa

    Madulang Sabayang Pag-

    bigkas alinsunod sa pag-

    diriwang ng Buwan ng

    Wika. Ito ay ginanap sa

    Padre Valerio Malabanan

    Memorial School na nila-

    hukan ng 22 paaralan sa

    Lungsod ng Lipa (West

    District).

    Halos isang buwan

    din na naghanda ang mga

    mag-aaral para sa kompe-

    tisyong nabanggit. Hindi

    naman nasayang ang

    kanilang pag-eensayo sa-

    pagkat kanilang nakamit

    ang IKALONG PARAN-

    GAL. Ito ay hindi maisa-

    sakatuparan kung wala ang

    tulong at gabay ng

    kanilang guro sa Filipino

    na si Bb. Jesusa Marie

    Matulac, na lubhang tumu-

    tok sa kanilang pag-

    eensayo.

    Nakakatuwang makita na

    sa mura nilang edad ay

    naranasan agad nila ang

    sarap ng tagumpay mula sa

    kanilang hindi mata-

    tawarang sipag at tiyaga.

    Hindi imposibleng man-

gyari itong muli dahil ika nga, Walang imposible kung may pagtutulungan

    at pagtitiwala sa Mayka-

    pal.

  • Children begging for

    food, young girls holding

    their babies while pleading

    for money, people asking

    for alms; these are very

    usual scenes that we can

observe in our society. It is

    very evident that mendi-

    cancy is really a problem

    that must be solved.

    In 1978, an Anti-

    Mendicancy Law or also

    known as Presidential De-

    cree 1563 was issued by

    former President Ferdi-

    nand Marcos. This law

    aims to "control and eradi-

    cate mendicancy", as well

    as to promote social jus-

    tice and protection of life,

    property and dignity of the

    country's citizens. How-

    ever, the

    number of

    mendicants in

    our country is

    still growing,

    most espe-

    cially during

    Yuletide Sea-

    son Why? For

    it wasn't

    strictly imple-

    mented by the

authorities and theres lack of centers that can

    accommodate high num-

ber of beggars that can be

    rescued. And since it is

    not being executed, Filipi-

    nos are ignorant about this

    law and continue giving

    alms to those beggars. But

    just recently, a number of

    cities, including ours

    headed by city Councilor

    Joel Pua, pushed a stricter

level of this law. If you'll

    be hearing about this law

    for the first time, you

    might be against it. What

we simply want is to help

those who are in need, as

we have learned open wide your hand to your

    brother, to the needy and

    to the poor, in your

    l a n d . . D e u t e r o n o m y 15:11 . Its not wrong to help but of course, the

    government needs to pro-

    tect the people, not only

    the beggar from indigni-

    ties and deprivation but

    also the public from abu-

    sive and rowdy beg-

gars.Give a man a fish and you feed him for a

day. Teach a man to fish

and you feed him for a

lifetime. (Chinese Prov-erb). Survival isnt just enough. It would be best if

    government provides

    enough institutions where

    they can stay and be

    taught different works so

in due time, they'll be able

to live on their own and

    raise their families. They

    may be physically able,

    but because of being illit-

    erate, they cannot find any

    other source of living.

    We might get annoyed

by these people, but lets open our mind to under-

stand. If you'll be in their

    position, physically able

    but still helpless, what

    would you do? In the

    country where basic costs

    of food and necessities are

    rapidly growing while em-

    ployment opportunities are

    still low, can we blame

    these people if begging is

    their last resort?

    School Principal

As the school principal, Holy Trinity

School has been providing quality edu-cation for almost 5 years. This insti-tution serves as the nurturing ha-ven of youth where their pillars of

learning are moulded and strengthened to be competent

enough in the different aspects of life. Lots of improvement

were implemented by the ad-ministration. Aside from

chapel and library, speech lab was also established. There are

many changes, the new mis-sion and vision of this school

are considered the most impor-tant part of innovations.

And now, this second issue of

our school paper is an evident

    progress of our institution. May

Our Almighty Father guide us as we

    burgeon triumph.

Dear Editor, On the last school year, our first ever newspa-per called 'Communique' had been a big success. That is a great achievement for the institution most especially for the students. I'm extending my boundless gratitude to the editorial board for being one of the keys in this achievement. I hope that you'll continue being an inspirations for many dreamers wishing that someday, they will have the chance to write and be part of the school organ. This issue is a symbol of a growing yet, Continue to try, to write, and to inspire. Respectfully yours, Angela Mae Bunyi Grade 8-St. Magdalene

  • Filipinos suffer from a

    lot of catastrophes- earth-

    quakes, landslides, flash-

    floods, and typhoons which

    are major threat to life,

    property and even economy.

    PAGASA announces that

we have to expect more or

    less 20 storms yearly. And

for that, we may accept the

fact that two or three of

    these typhoons will be dis-

    astrous event. And the ques-

    tions that we can always

hear Are we really ready or

    prepared for these disastrous

    events? Are the government

    officials and agencies doing

    their job in protecting the

    people?

I doubt that they are not

    prepared. I doubt that the

    Local Government, agencies

    l i k e P A G A S A a n d

    NDRRMC and even the

    people are not ready for

    these disasters. The Local

    governments provide equip-

    ment and evacuation centers

that can be used; they have

    people who are well-trained

    in taking precautionary

    measures and they prepare

    relief goods that will be

    needed by the victims and

    casualties.

    On the other hand, PA-

    GASA and NDRRMC are

doing also a great job. Time

    to time they are informing

    the public about the condi-

tion of the typhoon before it

hits the country, as it hits

the country and even after it

    landed. Even they are also

    victims (which some can-

    not actually realize),

theyre still going to their offices and doing every-

thing that they can, in all

    means, just to update the

    people.

    Filipinos are used to ty-

phoons and so I can say,

    we citizens are also ready

for these. By the time we

    heard about the incoming

    typhoon, one or two days

    are enough

for us to set the basic

things that we need and to

    do what we have to.

    But, in spite of these

    preparations, our country

    can still experience repeti-

    tive destructions. The Gov-

    ernment or even I cannot

    give an exact solution for

    these, because typhoons

    are typhoons. But I can

say, lets not use those times to blame each other

    and to question anybodys

    work and think that they

are not doing their work (as

it seems we are the one

who are just sitting and not

    doing anything to help our

fellowmen). Instead, lets be part of the solution so

we could at least lessen the

    destructions it can brought

to us. We are not ignorant

    about the destruction of our

    nature for man encounter

    this every now and then.

    Spare the nature and em-

    brace its kindness in the

    future .

    Napakasaklap ng pan-

    gyayaring naganap noong

    Enero 25, 2015 araw ng

    Linggo nang gumimbal

    hindi lamang sa Pilipinas

    pati na sa buong mundo

    ang balitang napatay ang

44 na pulis laban sa Bang-

    samoro Islamic Freedom

    Fighters (BIFF) at Moro

    Islamic Liberation Front

    (MILF). Napakasakit sa

    mga kamag-anak na na-

    matayan dahil hustisya ang

    isinisigaw nila.

    Ang Peace talk sa

    Bangsamoro ng Gobyerno

at BIFF ay mainit na usapin

    ngayon. May dalawang

    paraan para matapos ang

    kaguluhang ito: kamatayan

    o dadaanin sa mapayapang

    usapan. Kung papatayin

    ang lahat ng terorista sa

    Pilipinas, wala tayong

    lakas. Kung hihingi tayo ng

    tulong sa ibang bansa may

    posibilidad na magsanib

    pwersa ang lahat nang

    mauutak at brutal na teror-

    ista sa mundo. At pagkata-

    pos, walang tigil na hid-

    waan ang mararanasan ng

    mga matatanda sangkot

    pati na ang mga walang

    kamuwang-muwang na

    bata. Madami ang

    madadamay. Dadanak ng

    dugo at maaapektuhan la-

    hat ng pag-iisip ng mga

tao. Ilan lang yan sa magiging resulta kung ang

    pipiliin ay kamatayan.

    Kung ito naman ay

    dadaanin sa mahinahon at

    mapayapang usapan, may

    tiyansang matapos ito nang

    walang dadanak na dugo.

    Walang magkakasala at

    walang magluluksa. Maaar-

    ing matagal na panahong

    matapos ang hidwaan na

    ito ngunit ang magiging

    kapalit ay maayos na pa-

    mumuhay at walang masa-

    sayang na buhay.

    Makikitang sang-ayon

    ako sa peacetalk ngunit

    hindi ibig sabihin ay pinag-

    kakatiwalaan ko ang mga

    opisyal na nagsusulong

    nito. Sa huli, kung gugustu-

    hin ng mga mamamayan

    ang kapayapaan, gagawa

    sila ng paraan para

    makamit ito. Hindi man

    para sa sariling kapakanan

    kundi para sa magiging pa-

    milya ng bawat isa.

  • Ang wikang Filipino na

    siyang pambansang wika sa

    Pilipinas ay ang wikang

    ginagamit sa lahat ng sulok

    ng bansa. Ito ang nagsisil-

    bing sinturon upang maitali

    ang mga mamamayan

    upang maging isa sila sa

    kanilang mga diwa at pan-

    garap. Mahirap isipin kung

    walang sariling wika na

    magiging daan upang mag-

    kabuklod-buklod ang mga

    hiwa-hiwalay na isla ng

    Pilipinas. Maaaring magdu-

lot ito ng mga kaguluhan at

    hindi pagkakaunawaan.

    Filipino: Wika ng Pag-

    kakaisa, ito ang temang

    pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng

Wika sa taong ito. Ang am-

    ing paaralan, Holy Trinity

    School (Lipa Branch) ay

nagsagawa ng ibat ibang gawaing lilinang sa ka-

    sanayan, talento at kakaya-

    han ng mga mag-aaral sa

    larangan ng pagbigkas at

    pagsulat. Ang pagdiriwang

    ay nagtatampok ng mga

    gawaing pangwika at pang-

    kultura. Ang buwan ng

    wika ay pinagdiwang

    namin noong Agosto 25,

2014 kung saan may ibat ibang labanang naganap. Ito

    ang mga nagkamit ng

unang pwesto sa ibat ibang kategorya: Pagsulat ng

    sanaysay: Maxine Iris

    Macaraig (Intermediate

    Level), Nathalie Rae

    Macaraig (High School

    Level), Paggawa ng Tula:

    Jewelle Kristine Napiza

    (Intermediate Level), Ian

    Xyrille Mendoza (High

    School Level) Isahang

    Awit: Ayesha Dwayne

    Mendoza (Primary Level),

    Maxine Iris Macaraig

    (Intermediate Level),

    Rianne Gabrielle Ericta

    (High School Level), Ma-

    sining na Pagkukuwento:

    Louise Francesca Macalin-

    tal (Primary Level), Ken

    B y r o n R e c e d e

    (Intermediate Level), Mary

    Lefdey Ramos (High

    School Level), Poster Mak-

    ing: Pope John Paul Casilao

    (Intermediate Level), An-

    gela Mae Castillo (High

    School Level), Slogan

    Making: Justin Dayne Bry-

    ant Pea (Intermediate

    Level), Angel Qurie Valles-

    teros (High School Level),

    Balagtasan: Grade 8-St.

    Mary Magdalene (High

    School Level), Sabayang

    Pagbigkas: Grade 1- St.

    Nicholas (Primary Level),

    Fourth Year St. John (High

    School Level). Ang bawat

    kalahok ay nagpakita ng

    kani-kanilang talento. At

ang agaw pansin sa lahat ay

    ang naggagandahang mga

    kasuotan ng mga guro at

    estudyante na barong at ki-

    mono sa pamumuno ng am-

ing guro sa Filipino na si

    Bb. Jesusa Marie Matulac.

Ang hindi magmahal sa sariling wika ay higit sa

    hayop at malansang isda,

    kaya ating pagyamaning

kusa, gaya ng inang sa atin

ay nagpala. Itoy tanayag na kataga mula sa ating

    pambansang bayani na si

    Dr. Jose Rizal na nagsasa-

    bing ang wika ay kaluluwa

    na nagbibigay buhay at

    batayan ng natatanging

    kultura ng isang bansa.

Department of Edu-cation conducted a competition among Kindergartens that will serve as an essential vehicle in the develop-ment of a strong foun-dation of literacy. Our school supported this program which was held at PVMMS last De-cember 5, 2014 and was joined by 13 pri-vate schools in the West District of Lipa City.

Fortunately, ABRIENE NATALIE R. BENTER showcased her poten-tials and won Second Place in her category. Her efforts and charms

are really priceless as she was able to strengthen her self-confidence and hold the pressure that every competition brings. Their showmanship is innate to them that made us smile while we were watching them performing said by their teacher Ms. Laarni T. Galvez. Parents made it possible also for they gave their 100% trust and support to their kids. They let their kids, at young tender age, to be exposed so that talents wont be en-hanced late.

    Last February 21 of this

    year, our school partici-

    pated in the 5TH

    MEGAMINDS IQ CHAL-

    LENGE that was held at

    Canossa Academy, Lipa

    City. This contest aims to

    empower students with

    new understanding of what

has been, what is now and

    what can be. And congratu-

    lations to Jewelle Kristine

    V. Napiza, Ken Byron M.

    Recede and Mary Lyza C.

Garcia for being in the 4TH

    PLACE in a group cate-

    gory that was participated

    by different schools from

    both public and private.

    Competitions normally

    happen in school or even

    between schools not only

to bring out the best among

    everyone but also to un-

    wrap the best that student

    can be.

    All school has the same

mission and that is to give a

    good quality education to

    their students since educa-

    tion plays an important role

    in ones life. According to

    John Dewey education is

    not a preparation in life;

    Education is life itself

    where our purpose is to

    reach our goals and in

    reaching these we should

    have a sufficient knowledge

    and ability to apply it.

  • Competitions are vital in

    the building blocks of stu-

    dents` cognitive develop-

    ment. Small competitions

    in the institution don`t pro-

    vide as much pressure as

    those being held in other

    schools with different stu-

    dents vying each other.

    Competitiveness has been

a big thing for the progress

    of the learners.

    On February 21, 2015,

    Holy Trinity School par-

    ticipated in the 5th Rota-

    ract Academic Chal-

    lenge, Held at The Naz-

    areth school. Lipa City. It

is open to all public and

    private schools in the city

    of Lipa. Bea Casandra C.

    De Ocampo, Jewelle

    Kristine V. Napiza, Ken

    Byron M. Recede and

    Mary Lyza C. Garcia are

    the representatives of our

    school. Out of thirteen

    schools, their group car-

ried the day and got the

    third place. The Rotaract

    Academic Challenge is an

    academic quiz in Science,

    Mathematics, History with

    General Information and

    Current events.

    This event`s purpose is

    intended to provide the

    schools the opportunity to

    expose the students in aca-

    demic undertakings to be-

    come more a appreciative

of the role of Academic in

    creating lifelong-learning

    communities.

    Nutrition is inconceivably

    more important than any-

thing one has taken to be

    important so far.

    Holy Trinity School Lipa

    Branch supports the annual

    celebration of nutrition

month with this years theme, Kalamidad paghan-daan, gutom at malnutrisyon

agapan. The school drew up series

    of activities designed to

    show the importance of ad-

    dressing the nutritional

    needs of Filipinos through

    increasing the level of

    awareness and preparedness

    in typhoons and other ca-

    lamities which are one of

As you are my sister as

guide, Youll be my forever companion

    Whether the sun shines so

bright , Or these tears will slip down tonight

I cry, you cry I laugh, you laugh, Were like twins in the starry sky

    Cannot be seen

between us As you always do that fuss

Memoirs and glee, You make me feel so cheery

As youre a sibling to tie the knot, You help me work up

    thing a lot

You are a nice miracle from God You were sent from up

    above

You are my forever precious jewel As youre like my jour-

    nal sequel

    Weird, socially fabulous in mind

That is what youre all behind And that seal will never be cut

It was 12:59 in the morning, my body

felt heavy and I was sweating because I cant stop thinking of what happened. While I lay, I heard the breeze blowing through

the window like a ghost whistling. It made me nervous, my emo-

tions are swirling in my head, I was like a lost puppy. I didnt know what to do alone in the darkness. Fear was consuming

me, it was killing me slowly until I reach the point of

no return. But I had to be strong, so I held

my head high and breath-in deeply.

    Remembering how my fam-

ily died in agony made my heart swell

and my eyes teary. I bit back the bitter

tears and held on to Mightyena for sup-

port. Hes the only family Ive left and I dont intend on losing him. We have to

move out now or Darkrai and his army of

zombies will catch up with us. So we made

our way to the Viridian forest. It was the

only place where I know its safe. On the next day, Mightyena woke me

up. The sun was smiling. The birds were sing-

ing. The trees were dancing. That was a great

morning, a new day and I was expecting that

there would be my new beginning. Me and

Mightyena would live happily and would forget

about the stupid little things that happened in the

past. But, NO!!! All of my positive daydreams that I

was thinking just gone in less than a blink of an eye

after we saw a group of people, aliens or

some strange things that were walking

toward us. T hey were all walking like

babies crawling. Well, they were zombies.

WaitZOMBIES!!! Darkrais army! Ugh! I wish that I could wake up with amnesia

and act like innocent. What do they need for

us including my family? Why are they doing

this? They are just gonna get themselves into

a whole heep of poop when they meet our

    Saviour.

When they got us, I had a headache then eve-

rything just went black. That was not an ordi-

nary headache. That was so painful. I saw two

unique creaturesa giant colorful centipede and a white horse-like creature. The white horse

had a flowing headpiece, just like Darkrais. When I woke up, I was at the sphere

pillar when those two creatures appeared. They

  • Its hard to lose a man,

but its harder to lose a

    friend.

    Friends, friends are

    always there when

    you need them;

    either good

    times or bad

    times, even if

    youre rich or

    poor. They

    are there

    when you

    need a shoulder

    to cry on or some-

    one to laugh

    at. Friends are

    there when you need

    someone to talk to,

    to talk about their

    crushes, your se-

    crets and also your

    epics moments.

    How can you

    find friends?

    Friends can be

    found in school,

    streets, your

    hometown, they

    can be every-

    where.

    Friendships

    are commonly

    wrecked by

    jealousy.

    They are

    back-

    stabbing

    us to

    other

    people

    because

    of their

    jeal-

    ousy.

    But if

    youre a

    real

    friend to

    them you will

    not believe them

    because you know

    yourself that what-

    ever they said are not

    true. Never hate people who

are jealous of you, but you

    should respect their jealousy.

    They are people who think

    that youre better than them.

    True friends know how to

    back-stab you to others but

    they will never do it.

    Well, none of us cant

escape jealousy all of us even

once we had been jealous to

    someone or something. Were

    humans, we get jealous, we

    do mistakes and some of

    these mistakes can lead to

    misunderstanding. Misun-

    derstanding is also one of

    the reasons why friendships

    are also wrecked. The prob-

lem is that we dont listen to

    their explanations; we al-

    ready concluded things even

    though we dont know the

    whole story.

    Lifes biggest chal-

lenge is on how you will be

    able to balance your happi-

    ness and maintain it with

your friends to help you and

guide you all the way to

    success.

    Friends are always

there to guide in your dark-

est path, to help you in your

    darkest hours. They will

always stay by your side if

you want a shoulder to cry

on they will always be there

    to make you smile, make

    you happy. They will guide

you to the right path; exam-

    ple your friend is taking

    drugs you and your friends

will lead him/her to the right

path or make him stop tak-

    ing drugs.

    I sit back and observe

    every person in my life,

    whether we talk everyday or

    not. I know who motivates

me and keeps it 100. I also

    know who talks about me

and smiles in my face. I

know who I can trust and

who I need to keep a distance

    with. Whether I say any-

thing or I let you be fake to

    me, I know.

    Treasure every moment

    that you have with them.

were staring at me like they were trying to give a message. I heard a voice

saying a name. Ashe. I didnt mind at first, but mysterious voice again called me. Ashe.

That was too creepy so I answered, Wh-who are you? Nervous and afraid, thats all I knew I was.

Giratina and Arceus, they answered. Why am I here? What

Youll know enough soon, they replied just before I finish my question.

Youre being chased by Darkrai and his army, Giratina said, You should know the reason... that youre the chosen one, the creature contin-

    ued.

Why me? I asked, annoyed. Keep calm dear. Theres a special reason why you can defeat Darkrai and the legion. Just trust yourself and oh, your partner, the mighty-

Mightyena, I was fully confused, I want to give up though I still do not know the whole story on why I should do this. I really dont want to fight

them if ever I have to.

Train your partner and also yourself. Never panic. Two versus the le-gion. Remember, you are not doing this for yourselves. This is for

your family, the whole world as well, Giratina explained. You two will go down in history. The heroism you will bring to the

world will be bethink by its men, Arceus told us. Were they just trying to encourage us to fight or what?

Think again on what weve told you, they said together than sud-denly vanished into bright light.

I, again, felt the pain. I screamed then woke up. What was my dream? I mean before I finish my sentence, Mightyena barked. I looked

at the window and saw water. We were moving. No the compartment.

Where are we? I asked. I went out then saw that we were in a ship. The sailors a zombie. Everyones a zombie. We had to ride or just be still inside

the cabin. There, I think back on what Giratina and Arceus on my dream

told me. We have to train each other, they said, so thats what we did. Se-renely, from this dawn to dusk, trained Mightyena and so did he to me. We

practiced, we helped one another, I was so glad Mightyena certainly learned

new powerful attacks. And I think I became a better trainer.

Since Mightyena is dark type, it will be better if well gonna fight this night, wont it? But also, so what are we waiting for Mightyena? Lets

make this battle over! Lets go! I exclaimed. We ran fast through the door and quickly, Mightyena, use Roar first! I yelled. He roared together with the thunder. The zombies got alarmed. They all went out, glaring on us and

slowly walking. Seemed that they wanted to attack us. Now Mightyena, Hidden Power, a large yellow ball was thrown from him to the zombies. Half of the legion fell on the water, Another Hidden Power Mightyena,

now the legion were dead. All of the zombies. But still, there is Darkrai. We

had to find him. We ran down to the bottom of the ship, but before we had

our first step on the stairs, Darkrai rose.

What do you think youre trying to do? he said with pride. Mightyena growled very angry.

And you? What do you think youre doing to the world? I bravely asked him. He smirked evily. The thunder roared again. Mightyena

use before Mightyena attacked, he went first which made us thrown away. I lean on the wall. My bones were breaking, Darkrai laughed.

Show me what youve got, kiddo! The thunder roared loudly. I saw two bright lights behind Darkrai while he was still laughing on us. Darkrai was

shocked because of the bright light. He looked back and saw Giratina,

Theyre real! I whispered. They combined their power and threw it to Darkrai. He yelled then fainted. As his size became small, the light grew

bigger until we saw light from everywhere. Giratina and Arceus vanished. I

heared combined voices. These are Giratina, the Ruler of the Distortion world and Arceus, the Creator. You did what you must. You saved your

family, the world and everyone. You are the champion, together with the

    mighty-Mightyena, we grinned.

  • Ash Wednesday is the

    beginning of the 40 day

    season of Lent. Our fore-

    heads are marked with

    ashes to humble our hearts

    and remind us that life

    passes away on Earth. We

remember, All go to the same place. All came from

the dust and all return to

dust. (Ecclesiastes 3:20). Lent is a holy season that

    reminds us to examine our-

    selves, examine our con-

    science and examine our

    relationship to God---- God

    who created us, God who

    sanctifies us, God who un-

    derstands and never leaves

    us. Intensive prayer, repen-

    tance and sacrifices are

    hardly observe during this

    holy season as we remem-

    ber how Jesus was be-

    trayed, arrested, carried the

    cross, fell for three times,

    crucified, died and buried

to redeem us from our sins.

    This holy season has a

    multi-faceted depth and

    beauty for it also unfolds

    another greatest story ever

    told-----the resurrection of

    our savior Jesus Christ. The

story that gives us the rea-

son to hope for life after

death if we receive Jesus in

our hearts, for death, is not

the end but the gateway to

    everlasting life, because I

live, you will live also. (John

    14:16) This retreat journey

of Lent brings us to the

peak of Easter or the fifty

    day season to celebrate the

    resurrection of Jesus

    Christ. Turning our hearts

    and minds to spiritual

    things will take us there.

    Do not allow ourselves to

    be our greatest enemy.

Clean not the body but our

souls from the stain of the

    sin, overcome our weak-

nesses, say No to tempta-tion, pray, sacrifice and

    give alms to our needy

    brothers and sisters. For

    this holy season also re-

    minds us the greatest love

of God to us. For God did not send the

Son into the world to judge the

world, but that the world might

be saved through Him (John 3:17)

The 40 days of Lent and

50 days of Easter are con-

    sidered as the most solemn

    liturgical celebration for

    Christians. This is the time

for us to use the weapons

    of spiritual warfare that

    church have taught us for

    these seasons---PRAYER,

    SACRIFICE and ALMS-

    GIVING--- for good inten-

    tions and good heart will

    bring us with peace and

    making us more like Him.

Even now, declares the Lord, return to me with all your heart,

    with fasting, and weeping and

mourning. Rend your heart and not

your garments. Return to the Lord

your god, for He is gracious and

merciful, slow to anger and reach

in kindness, and relenting in pun-

    ishments.Joel 2:12-13

    Matapos ang naramdaman

nating nuot sa laman at bu-

    bre at Enero, unti-unti nang

    nararanasan ng mga tao ang

    matinding init na pumupunit

sa ating balat at ang tumata-

    gaktak na pawis sa ating

    katawan.

    Ang buwan ng Marso ang

    pinakapinananabikan hindi

    lamang ng mga mag-aaral

pati na ang bawat isa sa atin

    sapagkat ito ang araw nang

    pagsisimula ng tag-init,

    bakasyon, pahinga, pagsa-

    saya, pagliliwaliw at pama-

    masyal.

Ang init dito, ang init doon iyan na ang bukam-bibig ng bawat isa sa atin.

    Nararamdaman na ang har-

    ing araw na kukumpleto sa

    ating bakasyon.

    Sa pagsisimula ng tag-init,

    usung-uso na naman ang

    pagsusuot ng mga flip flops

    na pang-paa, sando, shorts,

    magagandang

    swimsuit at

    tapis. Nari-

    yan na rin

    ang pag-

    kain

    nang

    mala-

    lamig

    tulad

    ng

    halo-

    halo,

    sorbe-

    sama-

    lamig,

    ice

    candy at

    makakatas

    na prutas

    tulad ng pak-

    wan, melon,

    buko, pinya, sing-

kamas at iba pa upang pag-

    bigyan ang ating uhaw na

    uhaw na lalamunan. Mata-

    tapakan na muli nang mga

    nananabik na paa

    ang malilinis at

    maaasul na

    dagat na

    sikat sa

    Pilipinas

    tulad ng

    Boracay,

    at iba

    pa.

    Marami

    rin ang

    magbaba-

    bad sa init

    subalit

    isipin din ang

    masamang

    epekto nang

    masyadong babad sa

    araw sapagkat magdudulot

ito ng ibat ibang sakit tu-lad ng skin cancer, bun-

    gang-araw, dehydration,

    heat stroke at allergies.

    Madadalaw at makaka-

    pamasyal rin tayo sa ating

    mga kamag-anak na nasa

    malayong probinsya upang

    kumustahin at magbakas-

    yon nang ilang linggo roon.

    Summer Classes naman

    ang hanap ng iba upang

    payabungin at mahubog pa

    ang kanilang kakayahan sa

    pag-awit, pagsayaw at pag-

pasok sa ibat ibang uri ng laro tulad ng taekwondo,

    basketball, swimming at

    iba pa. At minsan naman

    ay pagpapahinga na la-

mang sa bahay ang nais ng

    iba.

    Tunay ngang nalalapit

na ang bakasyon kayat sulitin natin ito kasama ng

    ating pamilya kahit saan pa

    mang panig ng mundo tayo

    naroroon. Magkaroon nawa

    ang bawat isa nang nag-

    iinit subalit di-

    malilimutang bakasyon.

  • All things bright and beautiful, All creatures

    great and small, All things

    wise and wonderful, The

Lord God made them all. Were all really blessed to be part of this wonderful

world God has created. Its very pleasing to look at; the

    colorful flowers in the gar-

    den, the chirping birds in

    the sky, the roaring beasts

    in the wild, the swimming

    creatures in the sea and

    other wonderful sceneries

that bring us peace in our

hearts. Thats how God originally created our

    world. Each little flower that

opens, Each little bird that sings,

    He made their glowing colors,

He made their tiny wings. We started out as hum-

    ble creatures who used to

    live alongside Mother Na-

    ture and thrive along with

her. Before, we just had a

    simple and peaceful life,

    plucking fruits from trees,

    roaming around and then

    hunting animals for food.

    But, look around you.

What do you see now? The

    pressing issues concerning

    the destruction of Mother

Earth are too realtoo hard to ignore, for mod-

    ernization was catching on

    man. We discovered the

    wheel, used that to trans-

    port, we got fire, and

    gradually we got civilized

    and never stop discovering

    more things to be discov-

ered. He gave us eyes to see

them, And lips that we might tell,

How great is God Almighty, Who

    has made all things well. E n v i r o n m e n t a l i s t s

    around the world are

preaching the 3Rs, Reuse, Reduce, Recycle. They are

asking people (if couldnt actually stop) at least

    lessen the use of plastics

    and other products that

    contribute to the destruc-

    tion of the environment.

    We listen; we act; and

    promise to find solution

    (butonly for a moment).

    After a couple

    of hours or

    maximum of

2 days, were back again in

    our bad habits. We litter;

we pollute; and most of all,

    we fail to remember our

    duties to be personally re-

    sponsible to the other crea-

tions of God, our creator. If

only theres some magical force that could put chips

into our brains, so that, re-

    minders will remain in our

mind and will control us in

    doing our harmful activities

    as much as possible.

    Gaping hole in Antarc-

tic, hole in the ozone layer

    and issue of climate

    change, these are just few

    cases in our environment

that should serve as an eye

opener for all of us. If we

dont start today then, when will we start? Do we

really have to wait for the

time that will be too late

for us to resolve the prob-

    lem? Would you like the

worlds temperature to in-crease another few degrees

and make it stuffy and un-

    comfortable?

    People are created,

    among other creations,

    with high intellectual ca-

    pacity. We, people, are the

    co-workers of God in the

    paradise he created. Our

    duties are to maintain its

beauty and to take care of

    it.

    Planting trees, saving

    energy by switching off

    appliances that are releas-

    ing CFC and avoid burning

    plastics and rubbers are

some of the ways that we

    can do to protect our

    mother nature. If we hold

    hands now for this com-

mon cause and if we open

    our hearts to one another

    and disregard those barriers

    that keep us from being

    who we truly are, then

    maybe we could still hang

    on to life

Tomorrow, the world will be healed. Tomorrow, the world will be a better place. For you and for me and the entire human race. Heal the world and make it a better place if you care enough for living.

    The month

    of October marked the

    celebration Holy Rosary.

    Holy Trinity Lipa-Branch

    commemorated this annual

Grand Rosary Rallywhich was held on the 29th day of

    the said

    month.

    The Grand

    Rosary

    Ral ly

    started

    at seven

    in the morning. Students

    and teachers together with

    parents participated in the

    life sized rosary-like bal-

    loon formation, represent-

ing as a rosary for the en-

    tire school. As preparation

    for the upcoming Advent

    Season, Trinitarians dem-

    onstrated the Joyful Mys-

    tery. Representatives from

    Pre-Elementary, grades 1

to 6 up to High school per-

    formed the story for each

    mystery to preview Lord

    Jesus Christ`s life also per-

    formed dance number in

    each mystery to the chant

    of the evangelical message

    of the song. Christler Gem-

    muel Aclan, acted as the

    Saviour, while Lefdey

    Ramos, played the role of

    Mary.

The goal of this event is

    to remind Trinitarians to

keep the strong bond of our

    Christian living with unde-

    niable faith in God and

    strong community to cher-

ish his teachings as we face

    difficulties. They released

    balloons with the virtues

    LOVE, FAITH, HOPE and

    PEACE.

  • A child should be body

    smart, people smart and

    brain smart. This was

proven by the grade 3 stu-

    dent, Lei Alessa A. Ber-

    gonio who competed in

    Division Meet at Commu-

    nity Park, Granja Lipa

    City last November 22-

    23, 2014. It was partici-

    pated by both public and

    private schools in the City

    of Lipa.

    Bergonio proved again

    her aquatic abilities in the

    swimming competition as

    she received not only the

    SILVER MEDAL but

    also the Best Stroke Award.

    This victory qualified her

    to move in Southern Taga-

    log Calabarzon Athletic

    Association ( STCAA ).

    Bergonio showed that

    Trinitarians are not only

    brain smart but also body

    smart. Her achievements

    show that age and height

have no bearing to dive in

success. It is just a matter

    of perseverance and disci-

    pline of an athlete.

    Christler Gemmuel Aclan

    of grade 9- Saint Victoria

    is a GOLD MEDALIST

    in the Division Meet 2014

    (Taekwondo Category)

held at De La Salle, Lipa

    last November 14. This

    competition aims to pro-

    mote physical education

    and sports and to instill

    the spirit of discipline,

    excellence, sportsmanship

    and other values inherent

    in sports. This was par-

    ticipated by 85 represen-

    tatives from different

    schools in the Division of

    Lipaboth public and

    private schools.

    He was guided by his

    coach and MAPEH

    teacher, Sir Roy L. Vidal

    for the two weeks of

    training to condition his

    body and mind for the

    said competition. Aclan

    fought a contender from

De La Salle with the score

of 11-1, in the first round,

in favor of him. His per-

    severance fired up as he

    moved to the next round.

    As the second round spar-

    kles, Aclan again leads

    the score (5-3) and ends

in the final score 16-4. A

task has been done as the

    pride of Holy Trinity

    School Lipa Branch is

    now on cloud nine yet

    preceded by humility.

    Kicks with different tac-

    tics supported him to fi-

    nally reach his victorious

    throne to the Regional

    Meet.

We didnt realize we were making memories, all we

know is we were just hav-

ing fun. Last September 2-4 2014,

    marks the special days as

    Trinitarians have fun in

    their SPORTS FEST

    2014. Different activities

were lined up for the stu-

    dents to enjoy and the

    first major activity, which

    opens the celebration, was

    the Fun Run 2014 that

    was participated not only

    by the teachers and stu-

dents but also by the par-

    ents who enjoyed running

    with their kids and meet

    their co-parents.

    Another major activity

    that highlighted the event

    was the Search for Mr.

    and Ms. Intramurals

    2014. Beautiful smiles,

    captivating looks, and

    modeling skills were

    showed by each pair from

    different levels to prove

    that they were qualified

    for the title. The passage,

    Many are called, few are

    chosen, aptly applies to

    the students who shined

    through the contest and

    these are, Best in Sports
