As promised on the cover of No. 2, No. 3 contains "anthems and set pieces, suitable
for Christmas, Good Friday, Easter, Fasts, Thanksgivings, Funerals, &c." Thereare 13 anthems in this volume. There is no separate title page, title and imprint are
on page 1, together with the beginning of the music. The last page has the Indexand Explanation of Terms, with the footnote: "The reason of these Terms being
used in music is because they belong to the science and are understood by well
instructed musicians of every language".
