TESTING AND CALIBRATIONS

For nearly 60 years, Cemafroid has been providing testing and calibration services in the fields of heating, refrigeration and metrology.

These services are intended for all professionals who use thermal equipment and refrigeration equipment: from thermometers and other temperature recorders to semi-trailer trucks, including refrigerated or insulated packaging, climatic chambers, etc.

Quality through accreditationIn order to meet the challenges related to our activity, our laboratories are accredited by COFRAC for testing and calibration services according to the international standard NF EN ISO/ CEI 17025. (Accreditation Scopes 1-0699, 1-1695, 2-1862, 2-1863, available on www.cofrac.fr).

Our laboratories are also recognized by various national and international organizations such as the UN, WHO, the French Ministries of Agriculture and Employment or the DIRRECTE.

To provide these services, Cemafroid has state-of-the-art testing facilities and laboratories that can perform tests on equipment of all sizes in order to reproduce temperature cycles and thus meet the demands of all users of the world.

CERTIFICATION

Cemafroid certifies companies for the conformity of their products or services, particularly in the context of new European and national regulations concerning companies handling refrigerants.

Cemafroid also issues voluntary certification marks such as the Certicold Pharma and Certicold HACCP brands for cold chain equipment, the Piek certification for silent transport and handling equipment, and the Certibruit label for silent night deliveries respectful of local residents.

French and European accreditationsSince 2008, Cemafroid has been designated by the ministry in charge of ecology, a body authorized to issue capacity certificates to operators who handle refrigerants. Since January 2018, this approval requires COFRAC accreditation according to standard NF EN ISO/ CEI 17065. Cemafroid obtained it on March 20, 2017, becoming the first accredited certification body (Accreditation scope n° 5-0561 available on www.cofrac.fr).

Since 2014, our subsidiary Tecnea Italia has been accredited in Italy by ACCREDIA to deliver the "F-GAS" certification to Italian refrigeration companies. Since December 2017, Tecnea Italia has also been certifying people to carry out activities on equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases.

Certicold certification applies to cold chain equipment (transport equipment, packaging, refrigerated display cabinets, etc.) that comply with all applicable regulations. The Certicold label is a guarantee of conformity and quality of this equipment to ensure the proper transport and storage of food and health products sensitive to temperature variations.

The labels proposed by Certibruit are intended for carriers and chains that are delivered at night in a silent way to decongest city centers during daytime. The main goals are to reduce the number of trucks on the roads and to contribute to improving the quality of the air. The ATP agreement (Agreement on the Transport of Perishable Foods) is an international agreement signed by more than 50 countries to facilitate the international transport of goods. In France, it also applies for national transport.

The certification scheme developed by Cemafroid since the early 2000s guarantees equipment compliance and the safety of perishable foodstuffs. This scheme has since been replicated in other ATP signatory countries.
