The Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion is proud and excited to announce the launch of the Co-Curricular Transcript. This document

will take you through a simple step process to get you well on your way to making YOUR difference at UTSA.

RowdyLink is a web-based program that encourages student engagement through organizations, programs and events, volunteerism, and leadership.

The Co-Curricular Transcript (CCT)The Co-Curricular Transcript (CCT) is a record of a UTSA student’s co-curricular involvement and leadership experiences. The CCT is a document developed to enhance your resume and career or academic portfolios. It also supports your credentials when applying for jobs, internships, scholarships, awards, and continuing education opportunities. It is also designed to encourage significant student involvement in the learning process by documenting experiences that take place outside the classroom. The CCT serves to accentuate the student’s personal journey and provides a holistic view of a student’s skills and abilities.

Virtual Flyer BoardIt shows upcoming events put on by student organizations

and UTSA departments.

straight to their RowdyLink page.

Throughout the semester important alerts are added to

CCT Additions • Click Your Name

• Click Involvement

MembershipsThis tab allows you to look at all

of the organizations you have joined and input reflections about

your experience in the organization

EventsThis tab allows you to look at

events you plan on attending or attend in the past.

ExperiencesThis tab allows you to record experiences that takes place outside of the classroom. An

experience can be in conjunction with student organization

membership or with a department or an area on campus.

Service HoursThis tab allows you to submit service hours to add to your CCT. The

hours can be connect to a student organization or UTSA Department.

Involvement Transcript This tab allows you to always

view your CCT. As the year goes on, you can keep track of your

CCT updates in real time. Once an experience is approved, it will

automatically be added to your CCT. You can also sort, rearrange and delete any experience you do

not want on your Co Curricular Record.

InterestManaging your interests is a great way to customize the site to your liking. Once you do so, RowdyLink

will automatically generate different event and organization recommendations for you that

match your interests.

Customizing Your Interests• Open each folder to search for keyword interest

• Once you’ve selected the interest it will move into the ranked interest box

Selected InterestsBy clicking here, you

can select your interest.

Ranked InterestsAs you select different keywords, you will see

them appear on the left hand side of the page with a Ranked

number.

To edit or remove an interest that you have selected, simply hover

over the title on the left hand side, and

click on the trashcan button that appears.

Your interests should be ranked in order.

(Your are most interested on what is on the top of your list

than what is at the bottom). To modify

the order, simply drag and drop the title of

the interest on the left hand side of the page.

The numbers will change automatically.

Memberships• Any student organization you join will be recorded here

• If you take on a leadership role it will also keep record of how long you remained in this position

• You also have an opportunity to record a reflection about the organization and how your involvement with it impacted you

Events• When viewing events on the flyer board you have the opportunity

to RSVP to the event

• Once you RSVP to the event or swipe into the event the system will add it to your profile

*Note: Events can bee added to an Outlook Calendar or iCal when clicking event details.

ExperiencesTo create your CCT, it is your responsibility to report your volunteer and involvement experiences online. Once you attend different events, and participate in different organizations, you can essentially add that experience on your co curricular record.

• Once you click on “Add Experience” the following options will appear on a drop down menu

• Click on the type of experience you wish you enter. If you are unsure of the type of experience you are entering, please contact a staff member for advice.

Co-ops and Internships- Participation in educationally-related work and learning experience that integrates theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skill development on the job, and contributes to the development of personal and professional maturity and ethics.Honors, Awards, and Recognition- Any type of campus or College recognition received individually or as part of a group.International Experience (Study Abroad)- Participation in program in which students attend school in a country outside the United States and receive academic credit toward their major.Leadership Training- Participation in a leadership training, seminar, or workshop that provide transferable skill development. Such trainings include Student Employee trainings through specific departments and Sponsored Student Organization retreats, conferences and trainings. Any certificate of participation or completion can be uploaded as part of the experience record.Research Projects- Participation in student-initiated and/or student-conducted research (1) research is an inquiry or investigation conducted that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to a discipline or (2) the development of new knowledge or understanding in order to advance science (3) ultimate in a comprehensive written report and/or an oral and poster presentations.Service to Student Organization- This experience is one in which students volunteer their time to assist with an event their organization puts on. (ie. Fundraiser for organization, tabling, etc)Service to UTSA- This experience is one in which students volunteer their time to assist with an event on campus.

• If it is not a required field, you are not obligated to input anything.

Service Hours• Service Hours is defined as voluntary work intended to help people in a particular area.

• Community Service hours can be recorded by clicking “add service hours”

• When service hours are submitted in RowdyLink, the request is automatically routed to The Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion, and the appropriate staff member contacts the faculty or staff member listed as the verifier of that experience. The experience is added to your CCT when the listed contact has verified the experience with The Student Center for Community Engagement and Inclusion.

Co-Curricular TranscriptOne of the best things about your new CCT is that it’s absolutely yours! As the year goes on, you can keep track of your CCT updates in real time. Once an experience is approved, it will automatically be added to your CCR. You can also sort, rearrange and delete any experience you do not want on your Co Curricular Record.

Here, you have the option to change the layout, print, create a

PDF and save the document.

You also have the option to include service

hours and reflections.

Sorting OrganizationsThis section shows all of the organizations that you’re a part of, and what your position you hold with them.

• If you’d like to sort/rearrange the order of the clubs, you can do so by clicking on: Once you do so, you will see the following:

Holding down this iconWill allow you to rearrange your

organizations to your preference.

Don’t forget to press “done sorting” when

finished.

If you have hidden something from your CCT and later decide to change your mind, you can re-add hidden items by clicking here.

Deleting Organizations & Experiences If you’d like to delete an organization from your CCT, you can do that as well. All you have to do is click on the organization and the hide button will appear.

You can choose to hide your role/position in the organization by clicking here.

If you have hidden something from your CCT and later decide to change your mind, you can re-add hidden items by clicking add.

Make sure you save your changes by clicking on:
