Smiling Frogs by Mike P.
The Smiling Frogs are a band that play for the White House during
election year. They take a plane lift off and then land. They hop, jump,
and rabbit all the way to the White House. The President loves these
Frogs so much that he break-dances in his own style. It’s a hop, jump,
turn around touch the ground. Trump said, “Its too bad I like these
boys but I have to deport them and I sure hope they don’t hop the
wall back.” Bernie said, “I missed the show because it was nap time.”
Hillary said, “Don’t vote for these clowns.” The frogs said, “We are
voting for Jeb Bush,” so the smiling frogs smiled and said we are vot-
ing for Ozzy Osbourne because he likes green!
“Wild West: Wyatt Erp; Just as bad as his nemesis, Billy the Kidd”
Even though Billy the Kidd was known as a ruthless outlaw, the Marshall Wyatt Erp and his two
brothers never played a fair game. First of all, he promised an informer named Ike $3500 cash for the
3 outlaws who robbed a stagecoach. He never paid Ike for the valuable information that eventually led
to the murder of Billy, when Marshall Erp snuck up on him in a dark hotel room.
When Erp hears of Ike’s drunken rage, saying he was gunnin’ after Wyatt Erp and his two brothers,
Erp seeks out Doc Holiday, but Ike rounded up four friends who came; between Tombstone and OK
Corral there is a shoot out. In the end, Erp is on the run just like a criminal; he lost most of his fire
power in that shoot out at the OK Corral.
Billy was a hero in most people’s eyes. He became of fame after his death at the age of 21, most saw
him the example of freedom. All this although he was a little paranoid, with good reason; he was public
enemy number one, and there was a $5,000 bounty on his head.
We now know sometimes it takes a criminal mind to catch another. So the shootout at OK Corral is
when and where Wyatt paid the price by taking advantage of Ike, the informant he never paid. Had he
not made an unpaid informant, he wouldn’t have lost a couple of his men and brothers.
This is a lesson to be learned, all gunfighters get payback eventually, just like the mafia; once in, never
out, one way or another, the price always comes back. There’s no way out.
Moral of the story: “You give what you get and get what you give.”

Employment Update
On Monday August 8,2016 I started my first night as a cashier. I was
very hesitance at first because being with the company for 12 years
and learning a new skill I thought would be challenging but I was
wrong.
I feel it will make me more valuable as an associate. I also feel it will
boost my self esteem. I am very thankful for this opportunity from
Home Depot to become a back up cashier. It is a great company to
work for and I am grateful to be a part of the Home Depot team.
By: Toni (with help from Stacy)
Stacy here,
I just wanted to tell you about some of the things that have happened to me recently at work.
Recently I have gotten compliments for selling credit cards and I am happy to say that I know they need me
up front at the register and they are retiring me from my greeting position.
This is very exciting for me because for one of the first times in my life I feel like I matter to some-
one, to the company and most importantly, myself. For as long as I can remember my self esteem has been
very low. Working here and knowing I’m wanted and needed really makes me happy. It makes me work
harder and it makes me a more dedicated employee that will do nothing but try to better herself. I will try to
continue to impress and earn awards.
Speaking of rewards I just received another Homer award. It was for excellent customer service and
going above their standards, having high numbers, and selling credit cards. Also being great with the custom-
ers. Furthermore, I know this is the September newsletter but I just found out I was awarded Cashier Of
The Month for the month of July 2016!
It is an incredible honor and I am very happy to whomever made that decision to honor me. I have
been working towards Cashier Of The Month since I started and I’ve finally become it. I am so pleased.
The company I work for is very generous to me. I have requested many days off in the past and I’ve never
been denied even one. I even got my birthday off!
These are all the reasons I love my job. I hope someday more people get the chance to experience the hap-
piness and rewards of hard work and dedication in the workplace.
Until next time see you later.
Hard work is difficult but the re-
ward is easily satisfying .
