• The corn price followed the other grains in early trading to the downside. The rest of the session was small lot buying to erase a portion of their early losses.

• Exports trade for corn continues to run at a high pace out of the United States. Traditional buyers have increased their amounts. Some of the smaller countries have stepped up their pace.

• With a concern over South America corn production, world corn importers came to the United States so they can build inventory of corn in their country, just in case our corn production is smaller than normal. World supplies look high but remember a small glitch in world corn production and these excess supplies go away.

• China’s retaliation against the United States issuing tariffs on some of China’s exports to the United States has stayed away from our agriculture grain products, so far.

• Supporting the corn price is dryness in Argentina. Rainfall for the December thru March timeframe is the lowest seen in years. The forecast brings in more of the same.
