Dads of Preschoolers & Children

In the Preschool Department

Beginning at 8:30 am, come by and

grab a donut and spend a few moments with

your little one before Sunday School.

WIRED exists to unite local churches from throughout the Wiregrass area so that we can serve those in

our community who are less fortunate and are in need. Through this, we can show our community how

beautiful the united body of Christ is as we work together to be His hands and feet throughout the Wire-

grass area. Whether it is through teaching students how to serve at the various ministry sites we engaged

during the week of WIRED or during our Bible study and corporate worship services, students and adults

alike are discipled throughout the week so that they can have a better understanding of who God is, how

He has called them to live, and what His purposes are for their lives.

There are 60 Churches and 2,400 students/adults who will participate.

Our church campus will house 175-200 students and adult chaperones for lodging and meals (twice daily).

This effort to impact our ‘Judea’ requires church-wide participation. Regardless of the amount of time

you and your family can contribute, we have a place for you. Please stop by the “Wired 2017” table to pe-

ruse the missions opportunity board for job openings.

WILD AND WIRED

FOR THE WORD

What do Blizzard, Snowball, Spike, Shaggy, and Dash have

in common? They are the wild animals from Operation

Arctic VBS that help us remember the truths we learned

about God’s Word or what we commonly refer to as the

Bible.

Blizzard, the polar bear, reminds us that the Bible is unique,

a one of a kind, like the polar bear. Snowball, the Arctic

Hare, teaches us God's transforming power and the

incredible impact of the Bible. Spike, the narwhal, lives

near sheets of ice and conveys the importance of having a

firm foundation that is the unchanging and inerrant Bible.

Shaggy, the musk ox, cares for her young and reminds us

that God cares for us and has given us a letter of love.

Lastly, Dash, the Siberian husky, explores the Arctic and

reminds us to explore the Bible so we can learn it, love it,

and live it!

Thanks to all the FBC workers for making exploring God’s

Word exciting for kids. Thank you for a week of helping

children understand where the Bible came from, how it is

God’s Word that never changes and is without error, and

tells the story of God’s love for sinful man and His plan to

redeem him. You made VBS effective in ministry to an

average of 125 children each night for the week. And you

planted the Gospel in many hearts and minds with 23

children who will receive follow up regarding God’s

salvation. All of this for God’s glory!

I don’t believe there will be wild Arctic animals but plenty

of teenagers and chaperones at WIRED 2017. FBC will be

hosting 150-175 teens and chaperones June 25-30 and we

need more help. There are 2 volunteer days of cleaning

showers at 8 am that need to be filled. Also, we need extra

adults for recreation to hand out basketballs, footballs, and

volleyballs at 4-6 pm and 9-11 pm. You don’t need to play,

just be the ball manager.

The greatest asset and need for Wired is prayer. Without us

praying, our weakness is exaggerated and dependence is in

our hands. In the Foyer is a table with pages of the days and

times to come pray specifically for Wired. Please begin

praying today for God to awaken the spiritually dead and

transform their lives.

To God be the Glory,

Joel Tucker
