During that time, Eugene is estimated to welcome approximately 34,000 new residents. The core values of the community and the project are expressed in the Seven Pillars of Envision Eugene, which include providing housing affordable to all income levels, providing ample economic opportunity to all community members, and promoting a compact urban form connected by efficient transportation options. The project reached a crucial milestone in July 2017 with the Eugene City Council’s approval of the Urban Growth Boundary proposal.

Following City Council action, the Envision Eugene team is working on a wide range of projects needed to implement the breadth of the community vision.
