Cardiovascular System

• Heart, blood vessels and blood. Carries needed materials to the cells and takes wastes away.

Major Organs

• Heart – The pump, moves about 1.3 gallons of blood each minute. About the size of your fist, beats about 70 times per minute, infants 120 bpm.

• Structure of the heart: contains 4 chambers 2 ventricles 2 atria, a septum separates the ventricles and atria.
