† Senior Adult Day Trip, Monday, Aug. 14The Senior Adults will take a day trip to Shatley Springs, North Carolina to view the Fresco paintings at several churches, observe the cheese-making process (and purchase some “goodies”), and have lunch. The cost of the trip is $30 and due at the time of sign-up in the church office. We will leave the church parking lot at 7 a.m. (please note the time change) and return late afternoon. † Youth Golf Tournament, Saturday, Aug. 19The 6th annual Bonsack Baptist Church Youth Golf Tournament for Missions will be on Aug. 19, 1 p.m. at the Botetourt Golf and Swim Club. Registration forms are available at the CLC Gathering Grounds Coffee Shop or at the first floor InfoCenter. There are many ways to support youth missions: sign up to play (individually or a team), sponsorship (for contest holes, ad book, snack cart, dinner). Questions? † Church-Wide Summer Fellowship (Date Change)Summer fellowships provide guests and members time to slow down and enjoy the blessing of church family. Our next fellowship will take place on Sunday eve-ning, Aug. 20 (originally scheduled for Aug. 6), following the evening baptismal service. Adult II, IV and VI (9 & 10:30) classes are asked to provide ice cream, cook-ies, or a summer fruit, and to assist in serving and clean-up.

† Celebration Weekend in Honor of Barry GreenMark your calendars to join us as we commemorate Rev. Barry Green’s 21 years as Minister of Music at Bonsack. On Saturday, Sept. 30, a church-wide banquet will be held in Barry’s honor. Tickets for the banquet are $10 per person and are on sale beginning today and will be available until September 24 (or until we sell out). Look for the ticket table in the hall at the CLC entrance. On Sunday, Oct. 1, in both the morning and evening worship hours, there will be special musical events to mark the occasion. The evening worship at 6:30 will include a concert featuring the Adult Choir, Handbell Choir, Brass 5, and a surprise guest artist that you will not want to miss! Please make plans to celebrate with us; buy your tickets now! Please note: Tickets must be presented at the door for admittance to the banquet.

† Bonsack: A Place to Grow & ServeThe Nominating Committee is working to fill positions on various committees and classes that enable the ministries at BBC to be carried out. Areas of need are: greeters for main building & CLC: 10 openings, serving eight times/year; ushers for the Sanctuary & CLC: five openings, serving four times a year; class for college students: leader or co-leader on Sunday mornings; class for new young couples (without children): leader or co-leader on Sunday mornings; classes for children & youth: teachers on Sunday mornings.
