Christmas Cantata – Sunday, December 18th, 10:50 A.M.
(No 8:45 A.M. Service) What is it that draws us all to the Christmas story? Even unbelievers are
touched by its power. Everyone wants to experience the excitement of the
angel’s prophecies. We all want to touch the baby’s cheek and feel the
warmth of the mother’s love for her child. The account of angels in the sky
captures our imagination. We are intrigued by the thought that there could
possibly be “peace on earth, goodwill to men.”
The world chases after the warmth, the joy and love that is known as the
Christmas spirit. However, it is the Holy Spirit that brings hope in the depth
of despair; strength in the trough of exhaustion; and life in the midst of death.
The Sanctuary Choir ask that you join us on Sunday morning the 18th at the 10:50 a.m.
service, where together with Luke we bring to life his account of this ultimate story of love.
We hope that you rediscover the story’s power and embody the miracle that happened….
ONCE UPON A NIGHT.

loss of our granddaughter. We are blessed to be
members of such a caring congregation.
God bless you all,

Dear FUMC Friends,
I want to thank my church family for all of their
thoughts, prayers, visits, meals, and most of all—
their love during these past months.
I am home and continuing to heal. Thank you
again for all your kindness.
Love,
Pat Aldridge
Dear First United Methodist Church of Union City,
We wanted to say a special thank you to Myrtle
Harton’s church family. You all were very special
to her and she deeply appreciated the way you all
looked after her and cared for her. We all
appreciate you—if not for friends like you, she
would not have been as encouraged and as full of
spirit as she was!
And a special thank you for the wonderful meal
after the funeral. It was the best, most beautiful
meal for our family. We’re still talking about it!
Thank you again—
Love,
Julie Price, Craig Howard,
and the rest of Myrtle’s Family
Dear Church friends,
My deepest thanks to each one that sent me
beautiful cards for my 99th birthday.
What a blessing it is to have such wonderful
friends.
My day was so good and I enjoyed every minute
of it.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.
God bless you
In Christian love,
Lavinia Primrose
