Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company had a passion for developing and creating viable solutions for children’s development, growth and entertainment. At the time of setting up the company it was recognized that this was an area receiving limited attention even though it was a concern on the minds of numerous young parents. The first solution offered by this new company was an indoor ‘edutainment centre’ – a purpose built soft play facility for children between the age ranges of three to twelve years. This was marketed as a haven for children – a space where children were encouraged to let their minds and bodies wander freely and their parents were more subject to the rules of the house than the children. With the guidance and gentle stimulation of trained Montessori teachers the children manoeuvred through the play centre – building their confidence while testing their agility by swinging across ball pools sliding onto the lower level and tackling the series of biff-bash vines, before landing after a further slide, into a larger ball pool. The excitement created in the play unit is palpable. For Children’s World the ultimate indicator of success was the refusal of children to leave the premises at the end of their allotted time! From experience gained in operating this unique addition to the Kenyan edutainment landscape,

Children’s World has now introduced a further service that will appeal to children, their parents but more specifically aimed at stimulating the productivity and sense of security of the parent. This is a product that focuses on the corporate sector. The Children’s World Crèche Service is predicated on the hypothesis that a parent will perform better for the employer if and when they know that their child is in good care. The provision of a service that caters to the needs of a child at critical moments will therefore increase the sense of loyalty and productivity of the parent in any given situation. Children’s World will apply its experience and expertise in advising the corporate client regarding how best to create and equip space that is availed for a crèche. Working with the designated office, Children’s World will advise regarding the range of options that exist for this service and ultimately provide the requisite staff that will manage the facility on a daily basis. The Crèche service covers all necessary detail and provides regular feedback to the client to ensure that staff who subscribe to it are receiving the best possible service. Children’s World invites you to consider offering this facility to your staff. You will be pleased with the result – both in terms of the impact on your staff as well as the increased productivity.

Sifa and ZuriWings of friendship

Our core philosophy is embodied in the following story that depicts the facilitative role that our créche service seeks to provide

Page 7: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

He wanted to make friends with the birds in the sky. It made him very sad.

Sifa was a very bored baby caterpillar. Each day he would lift his head to the sky and say, “I wish, I wish, I wish I could fly.”

Page 8: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

Sifa was quiet because he was very very shy.“Why do you look so sad?” asked Zuri.

One day Sifa met a beautiful hummingbird on a tree stump near his house. “Hi, I’m Zuri.” said the Hummingbird to Sifa.

Page 9: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

“I’ll play with you, Sifa. Hop on my back, I’ll give you a ride into the sky.” Said Zuri.

“I am Sifa and I really want to fly because there’s no one to play with me on the ground.” replied Sifa.

Page 10: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

Sifa met many many friends and Zuri showed him different flowers and plants. Sifa had a lot of fun.

So Sifa climbed onto Zuri’s back and they flew through the trees and up to the sky past the clouds.

Page 11: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

That night the wind was extra cold so Sifa wrapped himself tight in a warm cocoon, hiding even his little head.He fell into a deep magical sleep.

In the evening, Sifa thanked Zuri and waved goodbye to her as she flew home. He could not wait for the next day to fly again with Zuri.

Page 12: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

“Who are you?” asked Zuri looking surprised.Sifa did not understand why Zuri did not remember him.“It is me, Sifa?” he replied.

The next morning, Sifa ran outside to meet Zuri who was already on the tree stomp waiting for him.“Can we go flying again today, Zuri?” Sifa asked in excitement.

Page 13: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

There he saw a beautiful pair of wings on his back.He had become a beautiful butterfly.

“But you look so different today!” Zuri exclaimed.Sifa ran to the mirror to see what Zuri was talking about.

Page 14: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

“Don’t be sad, Sifa. And there is no need to fear. I can teach you how to fly.”“You can?” Sifa asked with a big smile.

“I always wanted wings but now that I have them, I’m scared to fly.” This made him sad.

Page 15: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

Before long Sifa was laughing heartily... flying by himself and enjoying every minute of it.

“Sure. Hold my hand and we’ll fly together.”So Sifa held onto Zuri and they slowly floated higher and higher toward the sky.

Page 16: The Children’s World Creche Service · 2018-02-16 · Children’s World Ltd was formally registered as a limited liability company in December 2002. The directors of this new company

Now Sifa had many friends to play with, but in Zuri he had a friend for life!

Now he could go anywhere in the world and enjoy all of its beauty.
