INTRODUCTION
The Chandigarh State Cooperative Bank Ltd. Chandigarh is banking entity
It came into existence in 2nd November 1966. It was incorporated under Punjab Cooperative
Society Act 1961. The bank has its outreach up to grass root level. The most of the branches of the bank are in the
villages of Chandigarh.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF CASE STUDY
To analyze the impact ofdigitization in the form of I.T.services upon the cooperativebanks.
METHODOLOGY
Due to limited time and resources, I used only my personalexperience to analyze the impact of I.T. services in thecooperative banking. I have experience of 14-1/2 years withthe Chandigarh State Cooperative Bank. I have attendedmany seminars, training programs during my service. I havealso learned and experienced from our counterpartcooperative banks like Punjab State Cooperative Bank andHaryana State Cooperative Bank.
IMPACT of I.T. Services in Cooperative Banks.
Everything has two impacts, one is positive andother is negative. I.T. services have also impactedthe cooperative bank in the same ways. The bothimpacts have been analyzed and finally concludedwhich outweigh the other. Firstly negativeimpacts are considered and thereafter benefits ofI.T. services are enumerated.
