Summer is here. As many of you enjoy a little more freedom to your schedules, let me encourage you to do a few things to stay connected at church this summer.
1. When you’re in town, join us for worship and Bible study. As we remembered on Sunday at Pentecost, we experience God most powerfully when we are gathered together. Corporate worship is an in dispensable component to our faith. 2. Stay connected even when you’re away. We’ll be working thru the Sermon on the Mount in worship this summer. When you’re away, keep up with our services online and stay connected through our website and Facebook. 3. Take advantage of ongoing opportunities to be together. Join us on Tuesday mornings for Feeding our Friends. Volunteer to help with Vacation Bible School. Support and encourage our students and children as they experience summer discipleship and missions opportunities. And be with us for a few special Wednesday nights this summer— including a summer REST service Wednesday, June 27th at 6:30 PM, a church anniversary birthday bash Wednesday, July 25th, and our back to school picnic Wednesday, August 8th. 4. And, finally, giving is an important part of our commitment to one another. I hope you’ll remember your offering this summer even when you’re away. Online giving is a great way to be able to give even when you’re not able to be here.
Thank you for your faithfulness to Central. Here’s to a great summer as we continue to keep house for God together in 2018.

Youth Volunteers Needed! July 9—12
We need your help this summer! Please go to our website here and sign up if you are interested in helping us with Vacation Bible School this year. The theme this year is Rolling River Ram-
page! If you volunteer that week we would like to thank you by taking you down the river (Columbus) on Friday, July 13th! When you sign up tell us if you would like to join us for the rafting trip on Friday. The discounted cost for the day is $25/person!

Bridging the Gap Summer Lunch Program
Volunteers Needed
During the week of June 4th-8th CBC will be serving lunch in two locations around town for the BTG summer lunch program. We have divided the week among different groups within the church.
Monday: FOF/Helping Hands Tuesday: Youth Wednesday: Chancel Choir Thursday: Children and Families Friday: Church Staff
We are using this as a guide to try and get different groups in the church involved throughout the week. If "your group" is on a day that does not work for you please feel free to plug in on a different day. As long as we have enough hands, all will go according to plan. Each day we will report to the church at 10:30 AM, divide into groups of 5-8, and go to one of two locations around town. We will serve the lunch, fellowship, and provide some simple entertainment from 11:00 AM—1:00 PM. If your group has an idea of what entertainment you would like to provide please feel free to contact Katie Faison ([email protected]) with your ideas!

Here is how you can help!
1. CBC is signed up to serve the lunches at both locations and do activities with the children June 4th-8th. If you would like to volunteer to help serve and provide entertainment that week please sign up here.
2. Visit our sign up genius or contact Katie Faison to sign up for things still needed for lunches throughout the summer and the treat bags that will be given out the first week.
