QUALIFIER FOR TSR CHAMPIONSHIPS

All classes are qualifiers for the TSR championships

TSR Showing Finals - This show is a qualifier for the 2018 TSR Showing Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals!

TSR Riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring.

TSR In Hand Finals - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website.

TSR Medal Awards - TSR members can collect qualification cards & signatures and redeem for a TSR Medal see TSR website for details. BSHA Grass Roots Champs - With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA Grass Roots Champs in Sept at Addington Equestrian Centre - You do not have to be a BSHA member to qualify or enter the final. TGCA TOYS In Hand and Ridden Classes

Pure Bred classes are qualifiers for the Best of Breed Finals at the Traditional Gypsy Cob

Association's (TGCA) National Breed Championship Show “TOYS”. Classes are open to all pure bred traditional gypsy cobs.

Stallions – All stallions (pure or part bred, four years and over) in order to enter any TGCA affiliated class MUST have be TGCA registered, have passed TGCA evaluations and their TGCA

stallion disc displayed on their bridle. Stallions and colts over the age of two, MUST be shown in

a stallion bridle with a metal bit and chain lead as per the current TGCA rulebook. Existing TGCA members must present their qualification card to the judge in the ring for

signature. Non-members will receive a qualification card from the judge and have 21 days to join the TGCA and register their horse to validate the qualification. Please refer to

www.tgca.co.uk for further details including membership, horse registration and showing rules (contained within the members handbook).

Quest for a Star Championship In hand and Ridden

1st, 2nd and 3rd from the TGCA classes may go forward to the Quest for a Star Championship, provided they are current TGCA members and the horse is TGCA registered. Membership cards

and qualification cards (specific to that exhibit) must be presented upon entry into the ring. The Champion and Reserve qualify for the Ultimate Star Championships at TOYS.

Caledonian Showing Championships

The Caledonian Showing Championships are now well established in the showing

calendar and will once again give 2018 competitors the opportunity to compete at a

top level Championship Final in Scotland.

Evening Performances, loads of bling and razzmatazz .... everything an end of

season Championship should have!

This year’s show will be held at

Highfield @ Howe, near Ladybank, Fife on 13/14 October 2018

This Show is a qualifier and every horse & pony placed 1st and 2nd in all Inhand,

Ridden Showing classes (not fun classes) & Working Hunter/Pony classes will

qualify to compete in any appropriate class at the Finals. Qualification will be from

placings, no qualification cards will be awarded in the ring, and no qualification can

go down the line. Qualification is for the Horse & Pony except for Adult/Young

Handler classes, where the Handler qualifies.

All qualified horses and ponies will be listed on the Caledonian Showing Show’s

website www.caledonianchampionships.webs.com where you will also find a

regularly updated list of qualifying shows as well as a wealth of other information.

1. The Edinburgh March Riding Association Ltd, Show Organisers and SNEC accept no responsibility for damage, accident, injury or loss to competitors, their servants, onlookers, horses, behicles, tack or property in connection with or arising from the show and it shall be a condition of entry that each entrant shall indemnify the Organisers of the Show and the owners of the property against any legal action arising from any mishap.

2. Horseboxes and vehicles towing trailers are requested to strictly follow the instructions of our

parking stewards. Due to restricted parking, animals may have to remain in their transport vehicles between classes.

3. In all events the judges decision is final.

4. Any objection must be made in writing with a deposit of £20 (returnable if objection upheld), within 30 mins of completion of a class and handed to the show secretary.

5. Correct dress must be worn in the arenas and hats with a fastened 3 point restraining harness to the correct standard must be worn by any person riding in and around the showground.

6. The orginisers reserve the right to combine, amend, split or cancel classes as they see fit and withhold prizes in the event o insufficient entries.

7. Stallions must be handled by a responsible person over the age of 16.

8. Ponies 14.2hh and under, Horses over 14.2hh.

9. No moneys will be refunded for competitors unable to compete due to classes running consecutively, overlapping or if a competitor enters the wrong class. Moneys may be transferred to other classes at the secretary’s discresion. No entry fee will be refunded, except on production of medical or veterinary certificate within 7 days, less £3 administration fee.

10. The closing date for entries is 29 April 2018. Competitor numbers should be collected from the show secretary office on the day of the show.

11. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any rider, horse or pony found to be entered in an event for which they are not eligible, or to eliminate an unsound or unfit horse / pony from the competition.

12. Any person seen ill-treating a horse or pony will be asked to leave.

13. All trophies are proprty of The Edinburgh March Riding Association Ltd and winners must sign a

receipt of safe custody for each trophy won. Trophies must be returned by 1 April 2018 and not returned on the day of the show.

14. A compulsory fee of £1 per competitor must be paid for first aid cover. No competitor will be permitted to take part in the show if this fee has not been paid. No refunds will be given.

15. Horses can easily be frightened and can become dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horses areas / lanes and to refrain from behaviour that may alarm horses.

16. Dogs MUST be kept on leads and are not permitted in internal viewing areas. Young children must be kept under close control of an adult.

17. No galloping on the showground.
