CELINA FORT RECOVERY GREENVILLE

What a Party!

The festivities began at the corner of Main and Market Streets and went south to Warren Street. From 5 -10 pm, hundreds perhaps thousands of people were able to taste the unique specialties of fourteen different Celina restaurants and caterers.

Plenty of tables and chairs were set up in the street. There was music in the street as well as music inside some of the downtown restaurants. Several local establishments were open after the event closed with special entertainment. The car show was held at the south end of Main Street with over 60 cars participating.

This event could not happen without our major sponsors called Master Chef Choice Sponsors. We would like to thank Mercer Health, Mercer Savings Bank, Cody Muhlenkamp with Federated Insurance, Celina Fraternal Order of Eagles, Reynolds, Second National Bank, Wabash Mutual Telephone, Citizens National Bank, Walmart, ArmCorp, and Dynamic Federal Credit Union for their support.

We appreciate the support and also would like to thank our Top Chef Choice Sponsors of Peoples Bank Co., Stammen Insurance, CAPT, Four U Office Sup-plies, Leugers Insurance, Celina Manor, and Celina VFW Post 5713.

Our gratitude is also extended to the city of Celina and MCERV for all their assistance in this community event. Also, thanks to the Celina Car Enthusiast who handled the car show. Finally, our sincere appreciation to all the Chamber Trustees and Ambassadors and volunteers who helped that evening.

Stolly Insurance on the Move DOL Rule Changes

Congratulations to Stolly Insurance on the ribbon cutting and grand opening of their new office at 124 East Fayette Street in Celina. They held their grand opening with a pizza food truck and some great desserts today. Visit Stolly.com for more information.

The DOL recently announced changes to the over-time rules for salaried employees. One exemption to overtime pay is for salaried employees meeting certain tests regarding their job duties who are paid at least $455/week. The new rule increases the salaried pay for exemption to at least $913/week or $47,476/year. This issue is more of an employer to employee issue rather than an employer to accountant issue. Below are a couple of links for you to reference.
