THIS!WEEKEND!AT!MOUNT!CARMEL!
Dear Brothers and Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel,
Perhaps you have noticed that I do not write one of these letters every week. I do so only when I have something to say or if there is some parish news to pass along. Today is one of those days.
The Academy of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is one of brightest lights and most successful ministries. It is blessed with very able teachers, supportive families and a very gifted young principal. We have full enrollment and require no parish subsidy.
Our principal, Michael Bruno, is a graduate of OLMC and a life-long parishioner. Michael has just been tapped for a major new responsibility early in his educational career. Michael has been offered, and has accepted, the position of principal of Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale.
This is a huge step for Michael and a blessing in his life. We at Mount Carmel wish him only the best and thank him for all he has launched and all he has accomplished in our school during his tenure as principal.
It does mean that we will be starting the search for a new principal very shortly. Let me say that this should not be a hard position to fill. We do have one of, if not the best, elementary schools in the Archdiocese. We have full enrollment. We have a very able faculty and an enthusiastic parent support system.
The school community has been informed of these developments this week. I thought that you should know this as well. I will keep you posted.
Sincerely in Christ and Our Lady of Mount Carmel, &
fr. Dan [email protected]

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF
ADULTS
In the early Church, when a person sought to become Christian, he or she was called a catechumen and entered into a period of intense instruction within the community. When this period of instruction was completed, catechumens were baptized and received into “the body of the faithful.” The Church welcomes into the process of preparation persons who have never been baptized, those already baptized in another Christian tradition, or baptized Catholics who have not received First Eucharist or Confirmation.
If you or someone you know has been thinking about becoming a member, but would first like information about the process, please call Sr. Regina at 201-871-4662.
Mystery of the Most Holy Trinity…
“The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life. It is the mystery of God in himself. It is therefore the source of all the other mysteries of faith, the light that enlightens them. It is the most fundamental and essential teaching in the ‘hierarchy of the truths of faith.’” Catechism of the Catholic Church (#234)

Pope Francis’ Amoris Laetitia
“…in the Christian vision of the Trinity, God is contemplated as Father, Son, and Spirit of love. The triune God is a communion of love, and the family is its living reflection. Saint John Paul II shed light on this when he said, “Our God, in his deepest mystery is not solitude, but a family, for he has within himself fatherhood, sonship, and the essence of the family, which is love. That love, in the divine family, is the Holy Spirit.”1
“The family is the image of God, who is a communion of persons. At Christ’s baptism, the Father’s voice was heard, calling Jesus his beloved Son, and in this love we can recognize the Holy Spirit.”2

sacrifice for these men and for their families.
Dr. Giuliano will be celebrating his first Mass as deacon on Sunday, June 5th at 12:00 PM.
Please join us for this joyful celebration and for a luncheon reception
(immediately following Mass) as Our Lady of Mount Carmel welcomes
Deacon Michael. &
