First Light Shelter For Homeless Women and Children

Thank you to ALL who contributed to the needs of First Light dur-ing these last few months. With the limitations imposed by COVID-19, the local services available to the homeless in our community were discontinued, which necessitated the Shelter to rely on vol-unteers to provide lunches daily. Many of our parishioners volun-teered to help fill this need, which will continue for the foreseea-ble future. If you are interested in helping, please email Deb Everson, Director of Volunteer Services at [email protected] or contact Nancy Heck at [email protected] for more infor-mation. A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to each of our evening meal teams and overnight volunteers who faithfully fulfill our committed weeks every other month throughout the year. Your care for and commitment to the homeless is a great gift! Please note that our upcoming dates for the remainder of 2020 are August 9-15, Octo-ber 11-17 and December 13-19.

Dusting and Linen Team Are you being called to help in a new way for 2020? Please let us know! The Dusting and Linen Team are in need of help! Many hands make light work! Thank you very much for considering this ministry!!! Please call the Church office to volunteer.
