Welcome to Our Visitors
Thank you for sharing in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with us today. Please fill out a visitor’s card (found in the pew
racks) and return it in the offering plate so we will have a record of your visit. And please introduce yourself after Mass.
If you are a Catholic, we at Our Lady of Walsingham receive Holy Communion kneeling and by intinction (both species on the tongue).
If you are not a Catholic, during Communion we invite you either to come forward with your arms crossed over your chest, or fingers across your lips, and receive a blessing from the Priest or Deacon, or remain in your pew and reflect on the presence of Christ.
You are encouraged to take this Bulletin and the Mass Leaflet home to utilize them in your prayer life.

Moveable Feasts 2018-2019
Moveable Feasts are periodic dinners for 8-10 parishioners who meet in the home of one of the families
for a social dinner. No agenda. The Host family for each dinner provides the main course, and the other
members provide side dishes, bread, dessert, and wine if desired. The hosting family rotates among the
group. Both singles and couples are invited.
The goal is to have a sit-down dinner to share a meal and get to know each other. The meals are intend-
ed to be simple, soup and grilled cheese is just as good as steak and lobster. The goal of the group is to
get to know better your fellow parishioners and foster the sense of family within our Parish community.
How do I join?
Easy! Just complete the form found in the narthex and return to the Church Office. You can also enroll
by sending an email directly to George Greene at the email address below or completing the form on the
OLW web page: https://olwcatholic.org/moveable-feast. Please indicate if you would be willing to act as
a Moderator for a group. Volunteers will be in the narthex December 15 and 16 to sign you up!
If you have any questions, see me after Mass or contact me by phone or email below:

The Collect V. The Lord be with you. R. And with thy spirit.
Let us pray. O LORD Jesus Christ, who at thy first coming didst send thy messenger to prepare thy way before thee: grant that the ministers and stewards of thy mysteries may likewise so prepare and make ready thy way, by turning the hearts of the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; that at thy second coming to judge the world we may be found an acceptable people in thy sight; who livest and reignest with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, ever one God, world without end. Amen.
Introit Gaudete in Domino Philippians 4:4-5; Psalm 85:1 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.
(Ps.) Lord, thou art become gracious unto thy land: thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob. (Bow) Glory be to the Father… (Rise) As it was in the beginning… Rejoice in the Lord …
The Lesson: Zephaniah 3:14-18a Sing aloud, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel! Rejoice and exult with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The LORD has taken away the judgments against you, he has cast out your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; you shall fear evil no more. On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: “Do not fear, O Zion; let not your hands grow weak. The LORD your God is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory; he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love; he will exult over you with loud singing as on a day of festival.” V. The Word of the Lord. R. Thanks be to God.
V. In the Name of the + Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. R. Amen.

Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. V. The Word of the Lord. R. Thanks be to God.
The Holy Gospel: St. Luke 3:10-18 V. The Lord be with you. R. And with thy spirit.
V. + A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke. R. Glory be to thee, O Lord.
At that time, the multitudes asked John, “What then shall we do?” And he answered them, “He who has two coats, let him share with him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.” Tax collectors also came to be baptized, and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Collect no more than is appointed you.” Soldiers also asked him, “And we, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Rob no one by violence or by false accusation, and be content with your wages.” As the people were in expectation, and all men questioned in their hearts concerning John, whether perhaps he were the Christ, John answered them all, “I baptize you with water; but he who is mightier than I is coming, the thong of whose sandals I am not wor-thy to untie; he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. His winnowing fork is in his hand, to clear his threshing floor, and to gather the wheat into his granary, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire.” So, with many other exhortations, he preached good news to the people. V. The Gospel of the Lord. R. Praise be to thee, O Christ.

An Act of Spiritual Communion for those who cannot now receive Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament
My Jesus, I believe that thou art truly present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love thee above all things, and I desire to receive thee into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive thee sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace thee as if thou wert already there and unite myself wholly to thee. Never permit me to be separated from thee. Amen.
Communion Anthem: “Remember, O Thou Man” Thomas Ravenscroft (c.1582-c.1635)
Remember, O thou man, thy time is spent: Remember, O thou man, how thou art dead and gone, and I did what I can: therefore repent!
Remember Adam's fall, O thou man, from heav'n to hell! Remember Adam's fall, how we were condemned all in hell perpetual, there for to dwell.
Remember God's goodnesse, O thou man, and his promise made! Remember God's goodnesse, how he sent his Sonne, doubtlesse our sins for to redresse: Be not afraid!
The angels all did sing, O thou man, upon the shepheards’ hill; The angels all did singe, praises to our heavenly King, and peace to man living, with a good will.
Offertory Anthem: “Rejoice in the Lord” John Redford (c. 1486-1547) Rejoice in the Lord alway,
and again I say rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing;
but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding,
shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ our Lord.
