Creative Compassion: A Night of Art for Our Neighbors in Need, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2020, at New Riff Distillery, hosted by St. Vincent de Paul – NKY and presented by MidWest Pay Link. Proceeds benefit St. Vincent de Paul’s ministry of direct service to those struggling to make ends meet. Admission is $65.00 per person and includes heavy appetizers provided by Eat Well and two bar tickets. Auxiliaries for St. Vincent de Paul – Auxiliaries are praying members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. They support the Society and the poor with their daily prayers. Wellness Retreat – Sometimes it feels like we’re trying to do the impossible. Our schedules are full, we’re constantly on the move, and our minds just won’t shut off. But what are we filling our time with? You’re invited to join the next SpirFit Wellness Retreat, SimplifyYour Life, at St. Anne’s Convent in Melbourne, Kentucky, on March 20-21, 2020. During the retreat, we’ll look at our lives with the help of a Health Coach, Doctor of Psychology, Sister of Divine Providence, a priest, and others. With their guidance, and time for self-reflection, we’ll find clarity and inspiration to live a simpler, happier, and holier life. Single-day or overnight tickets are available to buy. ME-TV is an affiliate of NBC/WLWT. The airing covers the Diocese of Covington, the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, partially the Archdiocese of Indianapolis and the Diocese of Lexington.

Care of the Sick – If you know of a parishioner who is in the hospital or care center who would like a visit from the parish clergy, please contact Sister Barbara Woeste at the Parish Office. Because of the privacy laws often times we do not receive a phone call from the institution. We rely on family or friends to let us know when someone is in the hospital.

Pre School Registration – February 1, 2020, begins open enrollment for 2020-2021 at Julie Learning Center, a preschool for children ages three and a half through five. Tours are scheduled for the mornings of January 22, 23, and 24. For more information, go to www.julielearningcenter.com.

Women’s Retreat – February 28 to March 1, 2020 – Take Up Your Cross. Jesus tells us that unless we are willing to take up our cross, we cannot be His follower. What does it mean to “take up our cross” and how does that help us follow Him? Join Monsignor Bill Cleves and Deacon Dave Profitt as they lead a Lenten Retreat on the meaning of the cross in our lives. The retreat will be held at St. Anne Retreat Center. Doors open on Friday at 4:00 p.m., the retreat begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner, and concludes on Sunday after 11:00 a.m. Mass. The cost is $150.00, including lodging and meals. Day of Prayer and Penance for Life – January 24, 2020 – To mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision legalizing abortion, our Diocesan churches will remain open during the day to allow the faithful to pray for an end to abortion, to pray for all those affected by the tragedy of abortion, and to pray for the 50 million children murdered by abortion. Every parish will also expose the Blessed Sacrament for a period of time on this day – the Cathedral will host a Holy Hour for Life at 7:00 p.m. All are strongly encouraged to attend. We must do our part to protect the dignity of the human person and ensure the inalienable right to life for all – especially the unborn.
