Pope Francis has designated the year 2019-2020 as a year devoted to a reflection on our missionary ardour. Love of mission is played out with two passions : a pas-sion for Jesus and a passion for His people. In celebrat-ing one hundred years of Benedict XV’s encyclical on missionary responsibility following the world conflict of 1914-1918, Pope Francis invites us to find a new «Breath» and to become new trainers of hope for our humanity in search of meaning. Faith is strengthened when it is shared : the great Missionary Month of Oc-tober 2019 will certainly awaken this missionary spirit in many of us. As people associated with the Charism of the Cenacle and witnesses of the healing work of this unique encounter with Christ, may we reveal to one another our individual missionary identity.

Spirituality of the Cenacle

The Cenacle is a Centre of Prayer founded in 1980 to reveal the Lord’s merciful and healing Love.Inspired by the first Christian communities and faith-ful to Christ’s teaching, the founders, through the power of the Holy Spirit, transformed the old Châ- teau Montrose into a place of prayer and healing.As in the early days of the Church, the signs and wonders performed by the apostles are now being manifested in healing the body, heart and soul, es-pecially during the Agapetherapy and other spiritual retreats.

Spirit : Agapetherapy

For six days, the Lord tenderly revisits the personal and intimate lives of the participants. By reviewing each person’s life from conception to today, an Agapetherapy helps to identify the roots of traumas that make life difficult; then, these roots are immersed in the healing power of the Divine Therapist. The strength of the approach resides in the compas-sionate presence of Jesus, the great Therapist, who makes it possible for us to attain a profound for-giveness that fills our hearts with peace and restores our pathways to a new life.

Who can benefit from Agapetherapy?This approach is intended for people of all classes of society who wish to take stock of their lives and feel a need to be bathed in the healing Love of the Lord.
