but now it’s back to work and we a「e ge請ng 「eady fo「 a iot of upcoming activities with

both our pe「SOna川fe and at our counc=. Brothe「’s we have a lot to get ready fo「 in this

new council year,

Ås many of you know the Parish Picnic is being brought back to St. Patrick’s thanks to the collective

e鮭orts of your brother Knights" On the back page of our newsletter is the o組cial虹yer for the event・

We will need a lot of assistance to pull this o鯖. Brothers are asked to arrive around 9:00am to help

With set-uP. We wi11 also need volunteers to pick up donations of food紅om severa=ocations. Please

The First O縦cers Installation for Cardinal Egan Council will take place on Saturday, September 3Oth.

The Installation ceremony is open to a11 including a11 family members・ We are looking for the

Installation to begin at 4PM in St・ Patrick’s Church followed by the 5:30PM Mass with al工from our

Knights of Columbus family. ÅIterwards we w址then head to Mario’s for a Special Dinner" Dimer is

$30.00 per person wi[h a Prix Fix menu (Cash Bar) Pricing has also been set for children. We wouldlove to have a large tum out for the first ever event" Once again please contact either Vic at

The council will be holding a Church recruitment drive on Sunday, September 3 lst" We w址need

v0lunteers for all Masses on that day. Matthew IJynCh and A皿drew Giacomazza will be handling the

Pulpit Åmouncements (With an assist紅om Father Joe). We will also be looking to sell the NYS

Charitable and Benevolent Chances. This years monies raised will go to families in need in both

Texas and FIorida. Please let us know if you can assist・

The recruitment drive is being held so that we can have candidates for our First ever Recognition

night・ This Special Night will be held in place of our October meeting on Tuesday, October 2 lst.

The council wi11 be hosting a Firs[ and Second Degree in Honor of one of our distinguished members.

Ås well, We Will also be Åwarding our Shining Årmor Åward wimers and ViP Club pins" Please, if

you have a candidate for membership, nOW is the time to bring them into the Cardinal Egan family"

Please save the date for our 2nd Ånnual Wrestling event. This years event will be held on Saturday

night October 2 lst " Wrestling Night Chaiman Matthew Lynch has a lot planned for this evening for

kids and ad山ts alike. Last year the council was able to raise and donate $1,000.00 to St. Patrick’s

Parish・ This year promises to be bigger and better then last" If you know of any business interested

in sponsoring a match - eaCh Match sponsorship costs $100"00. This is an excellent opportunity to

PrOmOte yOur business and support the Parish.

The Woodbury Trunk or Treat will once again be held on Ha1loween’Sunday’October 3 1st. Last year

was the first year the council participated. This year the council is looking for someone to lead the

charge, The council will provide the Candy we just need a volunteer to decorate their car and pass

out candy to the children" This is a wonde血1 community event that the Woodbury Chamber of

Commerce hosts.

The next meeting of the council will take place on Tuesday, September 20th, at 8:00PM Ås you can see紅om

the above we have a lot of upcoming projects for discussion including future programs for the Holiday

Season. Please make every e餓⊃rt tO attend. Due to the Jewish New Year, all those celebrating will be ex-
