SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD The Great Prize Giveaway (the “Sweepstakes”) begins at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on May22, 2013 and ends at 5:00 p.m. ET on June 5, 2013 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

ELIGIBILITY The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States who reside in the State of Connecticut and who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry (the “Entrant” or

“Entrants”). Employees of GateHouse Media , Inc. and GateHouse Media Connecticut Holdings,Inc. (together, “GateHouse Media”), and each of their respective divisions, affiliates, parentcompanies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies (including, in each case, immediatefamily members) are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. For purposes of this Sweepstakes,“immediate family members” is defined as spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents andgrandchildren, whether as "in-laws", or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same householdlocation, whether or not related. In order to enter the Sweepstakes or win the prize, the Entrantmust comply fully with these Official Rules, and by entering agrees to be bound by these OfficialRules and the decisions of GateHouse Media, whose decisions shall be binding and final in allrespects.

HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES AND SWEEPSTAKES RULESEntrants must call the Sweepstakes toll-free hotline noted in the print or online ad (the “Hotline”)during the Sweepstakes Period 8am to 9pm Monday thorugh Friday and 8am through 5pm onSaturday and Sunday ET. Entrants will be asked to provide their name, mailing address, phonenumber, e-mail address (optional) and date of birth (the “Contact Information”). By providingthe Contact Information to GateHouse Media, the Entrant gives permission to GateHouse Mediato use the Contact Information for entry into the Sweepstakes. During the call, the Entrants will

be offered a special promotional offer from GateHouse Media (the “Offer”). Entrants do not

need to listen to the Offer to be entered in the Sweepstakes. Entrants do not need to

purchase the Offer from GateHouse Media or any other item or service to be entered in the

Sweepstakes. All Entrants calling the Hotline during the Sweepstakes Period and providing

Contact Information will be entered in the Sweepstakes.

No faxed, emailed or mailed entries will be accepted.

One (1) entry per person will be allowed during the Sweepstakes Period.

SELECTION OF SWEEPSTAKES WINNER; ODDS OF WINNINGSix (6) winners (the “Winner s”) will be selected in a random drawing (the “Drawing”) from alleligible Sweepstakes entries received by 5:00 p.m. ET on June 5, 2013 (the “SweepstakesDeadline”). The Drawing will be held on or about June 10, 2013.



Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Sweepstakes Deadline.All decisions of GateHouse Media regarding the Sweepstakes are final.

NOTIFICATION OF THE WINNERS The Winners will be notified on or about June 10, 2013 (the “Prize Notification”) in accordance

with the Contact Information supplied to GateHouse Media. If the Winner does not respond tothe Prize Notification by 11:59 p.m. ET on June 15, 2013, GateHouse Media will select analternate winner in a random drawing from all remaining eligible entries.

The potential prize winner must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release inorder to be eligible to accept the prize. In the event a potential winner is disqualified for anyreason, GateHouse Media may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by randomdrawing from among all remaining eligible Entries. The prize must be picked up by the Winner at the offices the Publication located at 66 Franklin Street in Norwich, Connecticut, or the Winner must make alternate arrangement with the Publication. The offices of the Publication are openMonday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. ET, and are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

PRIZESix (6) prizes will be awarded in the Sweepstakes as follows:

1. One (1) grand prize winner will receive a $1000 Target gift card

2. Five (5) winners will each receive a $100 Target gift card

No substitution or transfer of the prize will be allowed, except at the sole discretion of GateHouseMedia. GateHouse Media reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value shouldthe featured prize, or any elements thereof, become unavailable. The prize has no cash value andmay not be redeemed for cash at any time. All local, state and federal taxes incurred by acceptinga prize will be the sole responsibility of the prize winner. No compensation will be given for

lost, stolen, mutilated or expired gift cards. GateHouse Media is not responsible for replacinglost, stolen, mutilated or expired gift cards. Fulfillment of gift cards is the sole responsibility of the merchant, not GateHouse Media. The gift card must be surrendered upon redemption and no photocopies or reproductions will be honored.

CONDITIONS By entering this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules and thedecisions of GateHouse Media, which are binding and final, and release GateHouse Media, andeach of its divisions, affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, advertising and promotionagencies and anyone associated with the production of this Sweepstakes, and their respectivedirectors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability for any claims, injuries, lossesor damages (including attorneys fees) of any kind arising out of their participation in this

Sweepstakes or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize. Each potential prize winner waives the right to assert as a cost of winning the prize any and all costs of verification and redemption or travel to redeem said prize and waives any liability or claims(including attorneys fees) which might arise from redeeming or seeking to redeem said prize. Inthe event of non-compliance with these Official Rules, or if prize notification is returned toGateHouse Media as undeliverable, if prize is refused or cannot be accepted for any reason, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected in a random drawing. Uponforfeiture or refusal, no compensation will be given. Acceptance of prize constitutes permissionto use the winner’s name, photograph, likeness and/or statements attributed to winner regarding



the Sweepstakes, for advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation or consent.All entries become the property of GateHouse Media. This Sweepstakes shall only be construedand evaluated according to the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to the principlesof conflicts of laws and submission of any entry constitutes acceptance of such laws. ThisSweepstakes is void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

This Sweepstakes is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that an Entrant is using theSweepstakes for gambling purposes, he/she will be disqualified and reported to authorities.

GateHouse Media and its affiliates reserve the right to use any and all information related to theSweepstakes, including information on Entrants obtained through the Sweepstakes, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

GateHouse Media, and their affiliates reserve the right to change the rules of the Sweepstakes atany time.
