History, Geography, Civics and Social Studies can fascinate those who love them; to others, they can be dry, required classes on the way to graduation. How do we share information in a way that incites the curiosity and excitement we have for this discipline in our students? How do we make it real to them? By using technology in our lessons, Social Studies teachers can innovate the way we tell the stories of the past.

By using and engaging with technology, our students will be able to review, research and compare and contrast content. Most importantly they will be able to interact with these tools and each other and connect what the have learned to the world around them.

Technology Integration Rationale

• This presentation will show how incorporating technology in lesson plans will support and strengthen teaching and learning experiences in classrooms both in the present and future.
