  • Founded in 2017, the Brain Project is a 501(c)(3) non-

    profit organization comprised of board-certified US

    neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, dental surgeons, and

    other medical professionals. Our coalition is dedicated to

    enriching the healthcare ecosystem across Africa by

    partnering with regional hospitals and medical centers to

    build reliable healthcare systems that service and support

    underserved communities.

    The mission of the foundation is to prove through rigorous

    medical practices and growth that there is measurable

    economic value in providing vital health care.

  • How We Do It

    Free Medical Procedures

    We partner with local hospitals and clinics to perform free brain and spinal corrective procedures for prequalified patients. We also perform preventive checkups and exams.

    Provide Medical Supplies

    To ensure our partners are self-sustainable and able to provide a high standard of medical care, we donate medical equipment, supplies, and resources.

    Knowledge Transfer

    We believe in empowering through education. During each outreach we conduct educational sessions to share best practices, and provide tools and equipment training with local professionals.

    Prep DayReview all cases. Review and organize all equipment and supplies needed.

    Patient ExaminationsReview all selected patients for medical procedures .

    Day 8

    Donations PresentationDonations received from partners are presented to the various partnered hospitals.

    Day 9

    Knowledge Transfer Our team performs a knowledge transfer where we share our discoveries, insights and recommendations on best practices with the doctors and other medical professionals.

    Day 10

    Team Appreciation DayOn the last day of the outreach, the team takes the time to thank all volunteers, team members and local partners for their accomplishments.
