Enjoy a weekend in September or October 2010 on the Rhode Island coastline in beautiful Charlestown, RI. House built just 5 years ago includes three bedrooms with an extra bedroom or playroom on the first floor that opens to the outside. All bedrooms have separate baths. Use of four kayaks and one canoe to paddle across Quonochontaug Pond to the barrier beach and open ocean. Silent Art Auction

1. Artwork by Britt Bair - Britt Bair is the co-founder of the Wilson Avenue Loft Artists (WALA), a group of 17 artists with 12 studios and gallery space in South Norwalk, CT. She is co-president of the Fairfield County Plein Air Painters, a group of 65 artists who paint outside from May through October and show locally.

2. Artwork by Andrea Bonfils - Andrea L. Bonfils is an award-winning artist whose paintings serve as metaphors for life’s experiences. With a reverence towards the organic, Andrea paints what she enjoys most: plentiful gardens, crashing waves, fog and passionate colored skies. Her work has been featured in several publications, including American Art Collector, Connecticut Cottages and Gardens, Upscale Living, and Coastal Living Magazine.

3. Artwork by Lori Glavin - Lori Glavin has been involved in the visual arts for over 25 years, working in New York as a graphic designer and art director. She is an artist member of the Silvermine Guild of Artists in New Canaan and ART/PLACE, a cooperative gallery in Southport, Conn. Lori exhibits regularly in galleries in Connecticut and Maine.

4. Artwork by Dana Goodfellow - Dana Goodfellow is an award-winning, third-generation artist, who prefers to paint from life, using a live model or outdoor setting. The unifying quality and primary focus in her painting is the use of light. Her unique choice of color is greatly influenced by her earlier career in the fashion industry, where she worked for Saks Fifth Ave., Anne Klein & Co, and Blassport Ltd.

5. Artwork by Dani Renchard - With a background in fine art, Dani Renchard has combined her experience as a painter, graphic artist and designer to establish herself as an abstract realist painter of landscapes and seascapes. Combining her flair for design and distinct eye for color, she creates abstract yet warmly recognizable works that evoke a quiet intensity in nature. Dani’s concept of original, affordable art has earned recognition among galleries, designers and private clients.

6. Artwork by Chet Saur - Chet Saur is a former student and current life member of the Art Students League of New York. She has won numerous awards for her work and has been represented in juried national shows, as well. Her portraits, still lifes and landscapes are in private collections throughout the United States.

7. Photography by Jim Dratfield - Jim’s Petography specializes in fine art photography of pets and pets with their people. Jim is the author of 10 books and his clientele includes Jennifer Aniston, Elton John and Barbara Walters, among others. He’s been profiled on ABC’s 20/20, The View, and has been featured in Oprah’s O List, Town & Country, and InStyle Magazine. This package includes a two hour sitting for one pet/owner/kids and one matted print. Additional prints may be purchased, and there will be an additional sitting fee cost for additional pets. Time and date of sitting to be mutually agreed upon by Jim and the winner of the package. Package must be used within 1 year. www.petography.com

Fly-Fishing for two on the Beaverkill River. The Beaverkill River is often called the birthplace of fly-fishing in America and today remains an excellent fishery. One 18-hole walking golf lesson, including pre-round short game lesson, with Chris Buck. Chris is a mental game consultant focusing on the psychological aspects of the game. He has his Masters in Exercise and Sport Psychology and is a provisionally Certified Consultant and member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). Chris has consulted with golfers on the Canadian Tour, Gateway Tour, college golfers, and world-ranked long drive competitors.

The Bleacher Creatures are a group of Yankee fans who are known for their strict allegiance to the team and their merciless attitude toward opposing fans. A prominent aspect of the Bleacher Creatures is their use of chants and songs. The most distinguished of these is the Roll Call, which is done at the beginning of every home game.

1. By bidding in the live or silent auctions, each bidder agrees to these auction rules.

2. All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted. All items are “as is.” Darien Library has attempted to describe and catalog items correctly, but neither warrants nor represents and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness of descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance or condition of the items. No statement made in this catalog, or made orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.

3. The value listed is an estimate of fair market value. Items have not been appraised unless so noted.

4. Payment for items purchased must be made in full on the night of the auction at the cash out table after the auction has closed. Darien Library will gladly accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, or your check payable to Darien Library.

5. Following payments, you may pick up your purchases at the auction table area. You must show your paid receipt for items to be picked up.

6. The purchaser must pick up all items the night of the auction, unless special arrangements are made.

7. Darien Library reserves the right to add or withdraw items, without notice, to or from the auction.

8. Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction. Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirectly from Darien Library, their elected and appointed officials, members and employees, the auctioneer(s), the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction & event.
