In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

“ Ever since the dawn of human life on this planet, Man has always sought to understand Nature, his own place in the scheme of Creation and the purpose of Life itself. In this quest for Truth, spanning many centuries and diverse civilizations, organized religion has shaped human life and determined to a large extent, the course of history. While some religions have been based on books, claimed by their adherents to be divinely inspired, others have relied solely on human experience”.

SCI ENTI F IC FACTS IN THE QURAN

“ The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the 7thcentury. Science at the time was primitive. There were no telescopes, microscopes or anything even close to the technology we have today.People believed that the Sun orbited the Earth and that the sky was held up by big pillars at the corners of a flat Earth. Within this back drop the Quran was revealed, and it contains many scientific facts on topics ranging from astronomy through to biology”.

“ In the creation of the heavens and the Earth, and the alternation of night and day, there are signs for people with intelligence”. [Quran 3:190]

Embryology (from Greek ἔμβρυον, embryon, "the unborn, embryo"; and -λογία, -logia) is the branch of biology that deals with the development of an embryo from the fertilization of the ovum to the fetus stage.

QURAN ABOUT HUMAN ORIGIN

Page 11: The Bond between Quran and Science

"It has been a great pleasure for me to help clarify statements in the Qur'an about human development. It is clear to me that these statements must have come to Muhammad from God, or Allah, because most of this knowledge was not discovered until many centuries later. This proves to me that Muhammad must have been a messenger of God, or Allah."A Statement by Dr. Keith Moore

presented at a conference in Cario.

SIR ISAAC

NEWTON

Page 14: The Bond between Quran and Science

Sir Isaac Newton, regarded as one of the greatest scientists ever, investigated this feature of the earth and and made one of the greatest scientific discoveries of all time by speaking of gravity in his book Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica (The Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy), first published in 1687.

QURAN ABOUT GRAVITY

The Arabic word “kifatan,” translated as “receptacle” in the above verse, means “living things being gathered together and protected in their dwellings, places where living or inanimate things are gathered together, on which things are piled, place where things are collected.” “Kifatan” comes from root word “kafata,” which means “to collect, gather toward one, close embrace.”

“QURAN ABOUT ASTRONOMY”

THE BIG BANG THEORY

Most cosmologists today have accepted the Big Bang Theory in describing the origin of the universe.

This theory states that the universe began at a single hot, dense point, or 'singularity'.

Out of this point developed what is often referred to as 'cosmic soup', a constant interchange between matter and energy with no separation between stars and planets or the heavens and the Earth as we recognise them.

BIG BANG ACCORDING TO QUR’AN

The Noble Quran appears to be consistent with this theory, Allah Says (what means): "Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them..." [Quran 21:30]

THE SPHERICAL SHAPE OF THE EARTH

“Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day And He merges

Day into Night?”

Merging here means that the night slowly and gradually changes

to day and vice versa. This phenomenon can only take place if the

earth is spherical. If the earth was flat, there would have been a

sudden change from night to day and from day to night.

“QURAN AND GENERAL SCIENCE”

By Mr. Khurram Shahzad

“We have brought them a book which We have detailed with great knowledge, guidance and

mercy to the people who believe”

[Al-Quran: Chapter 7 verse 52]

Science without religion is lame[Albert Einstein]

FINGER PRINTSQuran says:-“Does man think that We Cannot assemble his bones? Nay, We are able to put Together in perfect order The very tips of his fingers.”

[Al-Quran 75:3-4]

Page 28: The Bond between Quran and Science

What science tell us? In 1880, fingerprinting became the scientific method of identification, after research done by Sir Francis Golt. He told that no two persons in the world can have same finger prints.Later this study was used by police forces to catch the criminals.

PAIN RECEPTORS IN SKIN

Holy Quran says:-

“Those who reject Our signs, We shall soon Cast into the Fire; As often as their skins Are roasted through, We shall change them For fresh skins, That they may taste The Penalty: for Allah Is Exalted in Power, Wise.”

[Al- Qur’aan 4:56]

Page 30: The Bond between Quran and Science

What does science say?Prof. Tagatat Tejasen, Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiang Mai University in Thailand, has spent a great amount of time on research of pain receptors. Later he found that pain we feel is due to pain receptors on our skin.Later on he was so impressed by Scientific acuuracy of Quranthat he proclaimed in public:-“There is no God but Allahand Muhammad (PBUH) is His messenger”

Page 31: The Bond between Quran and Science

CONCLUSIONThese are just some of the many scientific facts found in the Quran. It is important to note that the Quran is not a book of science, but that itis consistent with science.

WE SHALL SHOW THEM OUR SIGNS IN THE UNIVERSE AND WITHIN THEMSELVES,UNTIL IT BECOMES CLEAR TO THEM THAT THIS IS THE

TRUTH. IS IT NOT ENOUGH THAT YOURLORD IS THE WITNESS OF ALL THINGS?

[QURAN 41:53]
