racing.

Press Conference, February 2nd 2014:

GP Derby (G1), Viña del Mar, Valparaíso Sporting, Longines announced publicly the sponsorship agreement with OSAF.

It therefore becomes OSAF official sponsor and official timekeeper, with a 5 year agreement (2014 till 2018).

During the second half of 2015, a plan for the Strategic Management of

OSAF was sketched, appliccable for the term 2016 – 2019. The Plan was

approved by Board meeting in Rio de Janeiro in November 2015.

It takes into account:

• Macro and Micro Factors affecting its boundaries of action

From breeding to competition, involving racecourses and other institutions related to the activity. In all links of the horseracing activity, success will be associated to professionalism and competitiveness. Effort, investment, passion and good criteria will not be sufficient.

Permanence and success will increasingly be more dependent on small details, not only on the general aspects concerned with it.

Although this will depend on each particular country and each region, the horseracing activity will not be unrelated to the socio-economical scenario and activities within their jurisdictions, in terms of the next 3 to 5 years.

The success of an Institution / Company / Organization IS NOT ONLY defined indoors, but on the contrary, success is defined according to its insertion and the acknowledgement from the Communities inside which it operates.

To strengthen the control on forbidden substances:

Speed the processes for the improvement of such control is no longer a matter of discussion: there may only be doubt as to which is the best path to achieve the goals earlier, but there is NO DOUBT as regards the GOAL = TOLERANCE ZERO!!!

There is no turning back, nor the choice to move forward in a slow pace: progress must be made as solidly, comprehensively and rapidly as possible.

With this in scope, OSAF has recommended that as from 2017, all samples from Black type races be tested by laboratories certified by IFHA.

When OSAF started working with ratings back in 2012, harmonization seemed something impossibe to achieve. Now in 2016 we are fully harmonized and our ratings are recognized by our expert advisor Mr Kennelly and IFHA´s Technical Committee. We envision a simmilar path of success as regards regional harmonization of doping policies according to international standards and the

accreditation of a testing laboratory within our region.
