Early LifeBorn April 20, 1889 in Braunau am Inn, Austria

Feared and disliked his father but devoted to his mother

Visited Vienna and decided to become an artist but was unsuccessful

Military Life

1913 he moved to Munich

1914- Screened for Austrian military service but was declared unfit

WWI - volunteered for German Army

WW I and Politics

Wounded 1916 and gassed in 1918

1919- Politics

Joined the German Workers’ Party

Put in charge of Propaganda

Political Career1921 - Leader of the German Workers’ Party

Attempted to seize power in Munich with his Nazi party

Treason! - sentenced to prison for five years

Wrote Mein Kampf
