AMURT LEBANON Social Stability Increasing social stability in Chouf District: Objective: Consolidation of social situation of Syrian re fugees, Lebanese retur nees, Palestinians of Syrian origin and Lebanese citizens, who are socially vulnerable and/or low incomes in the Chouf District, Mount Lebanon. Outcome: 1. 800 children from the target group, aged between 5 and 12, can continue their education. Outcome: 2. 600 children aged 5 to 12 with no access to education programs, attend 6 months nonformal education in order either to secure or not lose access to the public schools. Outcome: 3. Socially deprived house holds from the target group, about 12,000 people, stabilise their situation by taking advant age of community outreach services. Outcome: 4. 100 young people aged between 16 and 25, who do not go to school and are unemployed or under employed, develop alternative working opportunities. To increase resilience of 800 vulnerable Syrian refugee children age 312 in Chouf district by providing educational and psycho social support. Children Resilience Project Increase resilience of vulnerable Syrian refugee children: 2015 2018 (46103) 1. 800 children aged between 5 and 12, can continue their education. 1.1. Children in the project area have access to formal education and attend Lebanese schools. Outcome: 1.2. Children attending formal or nonformal education activities are provided with group or individual PsychoSocial Support. 1.3. Public schools have adequate infra structure and equipments, and are able to provide education and necessary support for additional students resulting from the crisis. 2. 600 children aged 5 to 12 with no access to education programs, will attend 6 months nonformal education in order either to secure or not lose access to the public school. 2.1.1. Children receive 6 months basic numeracy and literacy (BLN) program. 2.1.2. 200 children receive a one year Community Learning Program (CLP). 2.1.3. 200 children receive remedial education in summer period. 3. Socially deprived households (12,000 people) have stabilised their situation through community outreach services. 3.1. 2000 households are aware of their rights and available support services, have access to health and social services as well as have employment opportunities, consequently their general social situation is stable. 4. 100 young people aged between 16 and 25, who do not go to school and are unemployed or underemployed, develop alternative working opportunities. 4.1. 100 young people have acquired skills as peer educators in ecological issues and knowledge of gardening and landscaping, enabling them to remain actively involved in ecological initiatives in the region and to find paid work.
