Treat Your Body Like A Car

You need to start treating your body like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini.

If you want your car to perform at a high level, you have to make

sure you use high-level gasoline as fuel.

The same thing goes for your body; if you want to perform at the

highest level possible, you have to fuel your body with the right

foods.

Drink A Gallon Of Water A Day

• Food is important but so is water. If you didn’t know, you should be drinking a gallon of water each and every day. The more water you drink, the healthier you will be.

• It might sound impossible to drink a gallon of water each day, but you just need to make an effort to keep a water bottle around you during the day and/or drink a glass of water every hour or so.

• Athlete’s need to stay hydrated more than the average person because their bodies undergo a lot of physical stress, so make sure you’re giving your body what it needs to stay energetic.

Protein

• Chicken, turkey, beef, fish, eggs, and peanut butter are just some of the foods that you should be eating in order to get your daily protein in your system. Instead of eating a bag of chips, go for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

• For dinner you can have roasted chicken, rice and peas or a Chicken sandwich. The point I’m trying to get across is that you need to make sure you’re getting your protein on a daily basis.

Carbohydrates (Carbs)

• If you want to be energetic on the basketball court, you need your carbs.

• You should be eating foods such as, bread and pasta. Some basketball player’s eat a plate of spaghetti and meatballs before a game.

• Why? • Because a meal like spaghetti and meatballs supplies an

athlete with the energy necessary to perform at a high level.

Balance

• As a basketball player you need to make sure you’re getting all your vitamins and minerals throughout the day. You need your fruits, vegetables, proteins, and carbs on a daily basis.

• Make an effort to cut out as much junk food out of your diet and replace them with more white meat, fruits, vegetables, and grains.

• You don’t need a difficult diet plan to stay healthy, just follow the tips I gave you and remember the importance of eating healthy and you will be fine.
