Yourletterarrivedjustafewdaysago.Iwanttothankyouforthegreatconfidenceyouhaveplacedinme.ThatisallIcando.Icannotdiscussyourverses;foranyattemptatcriticismwouldbeforeigntome.Nothingtouchesaworkofartsolittleaswordsofcriticism:theyalwaysresultinmoreorlessfortunatemisunderstandings.Thingsaren'tallsotangibleandsayableaspeoplewouldusuallyhaveusbelieve;mostexperiencesareunsayable,theyhappeninaspacethatnowordhaseverentered,andmoreunsayablethanallotherthingsarework
