Staff and students at Barr’s Hill School are celebrating their Level 3 results (A Levels and BTEC). All of our students have achieved their first place university choices whilst others are now looking forward to apprenticeships and the world of work. Star students this year include Daniel Odjo and Navita Dewitt. Daniel

achieved A, A*, Distinction* in Physics, Maths and Engineering and Navita achieved A, A, B in Religious Studies, Sociology and Psychology. During their Sixth Form studies both students were part of the Career Ready programme which supported their studies with mentors from industry and internships in their chosen career area. In September Daniel will be studying Engineering at Manchester University and Navita is remaining at Barr’s Hill to complete further studies. Overall, students this year have improved on the higher grades; the number of students achieving A*-A grades has doubled since 2015, and almost 30% of students gained grades A*-B at A Level and an impressive 81% achieving the equivalent Distinction* - Merit for their BTEC Sub Diplomas. “Congratulations to all of our Sixth Form students. Every single student should be proud of their achievements and I wish you all every success in the future”, Ms Byrne, Head of Sixth Form.
