F r o m t h e P A S T O R ’ S D E S K

CHBC SENIOR PASTOR

Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 has a very good reminder for all of us. “Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.” Remember the word SELECT.

S - ift through the criticisms and complaints that you get. Sift through the criticisms and complaints that you get dahil hindi naman lahat ay mapapasaya natin.

E - ntertaining gossip is a trap and a time waster. If you want to be a good steward of your time, iwasan ang tsismis.

L - isten only to stuff that will enrich you or make you grow. Listen to things that will make you grow.

E - valuate what you listen to. Don’t take it hook, line and sinker. Don’t swallow everything that you hear. Dapat maging analytical tayo. We should learn to discern kung ang sinasabi ba ng taong ito dapat kong paniwalaan o ito ba ay bagay na di ko dapat pag-aksayahan ng panahon. Evaluate what you listen to.C - arefully choose your inner circle.

PROPOINTS P , R , & O POINTSOSITIVE ESPONSIVE PTIMISTICTO A HEALTHY CHRISTIAN LIFE

It would be good to have people who won’t just agree with everything that we say. Surround yourself with people who have the guts to tell you when you are wrong. Carefully choose your inner circle.

T - urn you ears and your eyes on Jesus. The things that you listen to wil affect the way you think and the way you think will affect the way you act and work.

WE ARE WITNESSES(BPG 4YC Theme Song)

by Stage of Selah

What the world can offer is a temporary lifeThat only leads to nothing

The danger is we try to fit-in in the worldJust to find some meaning

We are so exposed in this WorldSo exposed in its mainstream of deception

But we areWe are more than conquerors through Him

ChorusWe are the light of the world

That shines so brightWe are the city on a hill

And we cannot hide We are witnesses

And this is our missionTo be a testimonyIn our generation

What the culture setis always a pattern that tries

to pull our livesLike a magnet many were trapped

Consciously and unconsciouslySo exposed in this world

So exposed in its Mainstream of deception

But we areWe are more than conquerors through Him

THE PAGE BAPTIST

This is the first Sunday of November and for the CHBC youth this is a very

important month. 5 years ago we started the Baptist Passion

Generation (BPG) with 25 attendance in our first service. Since then a lot of great work that God has done were accomplished in this unique ministry. Because one thing we have kept that fuels BPG towards the mark is the word we have placed at the middle of our very name - passion!

On this November 2010 issue of The Baptist Voice we encourage you to share you hearts with us as we look back from the years of our ministry unto this present time where the fire of serving our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is like an unstoppable wildfire. We look forward by the grace of God for more victories in the future despite the attacks of the enemy and we aim continually to stand firm on the bedrock of our purpose - to be the next page of Baptist History.

As we celebrate our 5th year of existence, once again we want to glorify and honor God in our fourth Youth Congress on November 30, 2010 with the theme “MaXGen” Mainstream Exposed Generation. The youth congress is the expression of our annual thanksgiving to the Lord and we ask for your prayers for the souls that needs salvation and revival on that event.

Thank you for all the expressions of love and heartfelt concern. What a blessing to see not just a church loving the pastor but more so loving the Lord. You have truly blessed me with your prayers, loving words, and precious gifts. As we come to the closing months of this year, let me remind and encourage everyone to finish strong. It is a thrill to experience God’s mighty work and see His mighty hand move

in the past week. I believe God can still do great things if there would always be a willing people ready to be used for Him. Today, we open a fresh ministry to our college and single adults. Another community where they would have a growing faith, a grounded fellowship, and an avenue of great service inside CHBC. We welcome you to our new growth class - the SEEKers! What an exciting day it is for you all. Lastly, God has surpassed our thoughts and prayers this year. It never ceases to amaze me what God can do to a people like you and me who strive to live ‘by Faith!”
