1 of 4 BIOGRAPHY The Balkan Wanderers are a 5-piece band from Oxford, who formed in 2014. We play gypsy-ska-indie-punk music inspired by traditional Balkan artists (e.g. Amira Medunjanin, Šaban Bajramović) and punk/ska bands (e.g. Mano Negra, Bad Religion). Consisting of singer Antica Culina (Croatian), Stuart Wigby on guitar/vocals, Clare Heaviside on clarinet and tenor sax, Marc Witte (Germany) on bass, and Emma Coombs on drums, we create original East (European)-meets- West songs, often containing a mixture of English and Croatian styles and lyrics.
