SPECIAL ISSUES

January: The Annual Industry Show issue will be published in January of 2015. In 2003, the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association consolidated its annual area grower education meetings into one large, three-day conference, complete with potato research reports, educational business seminars, an industry trade show, awards banquet and the WPVGA’s Annual Meeting. This issue will preview the Grower Education Conference and Trade Show. This issue will also have bonus circulation, as it will be available to all attendees at the Potato Expo 2015 to be held in January 2015 in Orlando, FL. Deadline is December 15, 2014.

February: The February 2015 issue of the Badger Common’Tater will be the Supplies/Equipment issue, focusing on the tools growers need to be successful. This issue will feature articles on the most modern equipment and the latest technological advances in the areas of planting, cultivating, irrigation, crop protection, harvesting, storage, and packaging. Potato and vegetable growers are sure to view this edition with great interest as they prepare for the 2015 growing season. Deadline is January 10, 2015.

September: Two keys to success in the potato industry are storing and marketing the crop. The September 2015 edition of the Common’Tater will be the Storage/Marketing issue with up-to-date information that growers can use to increase profitability. Deadline is August 10, 2015

November: 2015 will be our 30th Annual Seed Issue. Harvest is over and the marketing season begins. This issue is a valuable promotional tool for businesses as circulation increases to include virtually every potato grower (approximately 10,000) in the country. Because of Wisconsin’s outstanding reputation in the seed potato industry and because of the strong editorial content of the magazine, the November Seed Issue is looked at closely by growers. Also, it reaches growers in early November, a time when buying decisions for the coming year are being considered, adding yet another selling point for advertisers. This issue will have bonus circulation, as it will be available to all attendees at the Potato Expo seed sector breakout sessions.Deadline is October 5, 2015
