Shell Water Test Kits

Water can occur in jet fuel in three forms, dissolved (chemically in solution in the jet fuel), settled (as in free water at the bottom of the tank), or as fi nely dispersed undissolved water held in suspension. The Shell Water Detector is designed to detect undissolved water; it has been proven reliably for 30 years. This is water that a fi lter separator can remove, and is usually invisible to the eye in quantities below 40-60 ppm.

Bug Test Kits

The Bug Test kit allows for accurate semi-quantitative analysis of fuels for bacteria and fungus in the fi eld. It replaces standard plate count techniques used in the laboratory. A measured fuel sample is inserted into a sterilized serum bottle. After a set time period a color change is compared with the Bug Test Color chart.

Biobor JF is a liquid fuel additive that combats fungus and other microbial life in hydrocarbon fuels. Biobor JF eliminates growth of harmful slime producing fungi that clog fi lters and fuel lines, attack rubber fuel system components, and whose waste products aid in the corrosion of metal surfaces.
