Competition

ALL-ASG Retreat: This Weekend!

On Friday, October 1st , Senate,Cabinet, and the Exec Committeewill be leaving for Camp HeartOHills to begin our All-ASGRetreat!!

This retreat has always been one of

the biggest highlights of the year for

all members of ASG, mainly because

this is one opportunity for everyone

within our branches to get to know

one another, build friendships, and

foster new ideas to bring back to

campus. (see pictures from last year

on the right)

Senators and Cabinet members will

receive all of this information this

week, including what to bring.

The ASG Insider

Do you feel like you have the most Razorback pride on

campus?!? PROVE IT! Athletics and ASG have teamed up

to create the Razorback Pride video competition, and

we want YOU to be a part of it! We want to showcase

those students who have the most school spirit and are

able to show it in a creative way.

Purpose: To make a video of any genre that is30

seconds or less. Any style of video is acceptable

as long as it is focused around a theme of the

Arkansas vs. Ole Miss game, October 23rd, 2010.

The video must follow the rules and regulations set

on the website, asg.uark.edu

PRIZE: The winning video will be played on the jumbo

screen during theArkansas vs. Ole Miss game on

October 23rd, 2010. The videos creators will receive front

row seating at the game and will be recognized on the

jumbo screen as well. The top four videos will be played

over Razorback Athletic media the week prior to the

game including but not limited to website, Facebook,

Twitter, and YouTube.

We will be leaving Fayetteville at

3:00pm from The Pit, so

PLEASE make sure to get there

on time!

We will stay the night at Camp

Heart OHills and return to

Fayetteville around 3:00pm on

Saturday.

Last Tuesday, September 21st,

ASG Senate met and adjourned

for the very first meeting of the

year.

Nominations were open for

committee chairs and members.

Committees will be voted upon

and appointed tomorrow at the

next Senate meeting.

Three pieces of legislation were

presented:

1)ASG Senate Resolution No. 1 The ASGSenate Standing Rules Act of 2010-2011

Moved to second reading and passed by

unanimous consent.

2)ASG Senate Bill No. 1 Rollin with theRazorbacks Appropriation Bill of 2010

Moved to second reading and passed with a

vote of 39:0:0

3) ASG Senate Bill No. 2 Earth Tub

Installation Appropriation Bill of 2010

Moved to second reading and passed with avote of 35:4:0
