THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD — June 2, 2019
Until We Meet Again
We have many ways of saying goodbye. “So long.” “See you later.” “Take care.” Goodbyes are softened with the promise of another meeting. “Till we meet again.” The time between the goodbye and the reunion is filled with joyful hope and anxious waiting.
Surely the disciples wondered if they had the tools they needed to survive that time. Jesus had been their leader, visionary, messiah, and friend. Without him, life would lose its center. Jesus’ goodbye came with two promises. He promised the Holy Spirit would guide the disciples in his absence, and he promised that he would come again. That left them in an in-between kind of time. After the goodbye, they waited for his coming again.
In fact, that is where we are too. We are in between the visits of Jesus, a time of hope and anxiety. We often wonder if we have the tools we need to survive. We need vision and companionship on life’s long road.
We have at our disposal the first promise of Jesus, the gift of the Holy Spirit. That Spirit will guide us through times of loneliness, into good decisions, amid the sorrows of sad goodbyes. The Spirit is our center.

Are You Thirsting For God?
Are you someone who would like to learn more about your Catholic Faith? Do you know someone not baptized or baptized in a non-Catholic Christian tradition, who is thirsting for what it means to become Catholic?
Do you know someone already Catholic but has not yet received Confirmation & Communion?
Others may be thirsting too…
For each of us faith is a journey marked with moments of conversion along the way…we move from unbelief to initial faith, from sin to repentance, from painful isolation to the joyful experience of a loving community, from fear to love.
Faith, conversion, repentance, celebration and community ---five basic elements that are present in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). The RCIA provides a setting where the journey of faith and moments of conversion can be celebrated within the local Church community.
RCIA is a place to ask questions and seek understanding. Come and See! Invite a friend! All are Welcome! RCIA meets Sunday’s at Little Flower School from 10:15 A.M. to 11:15 A.M.

A Great Big Thank You to the
Baked Goods Providers
On behalf of both the Holy Face Spring Festival
Ice Cream Booth and Food Booth chairpersons , I
would like to thank each and every one of you
who worked so hard to provided us with all
those wonderful baked goods . For without the
brownies there would not have been Brownie
Sundaes. You should have seen all the kids smil-
ing faces when they received one of those great
baked goods with their "Kid's Meal". As we all
know, it takes the hard work and efforts of vol-
unteers like you to make the Festival a success.
Once more, on behalf of Ice Cream Booth
Chairpersons, Mr.& Mrs. Dick Moebius , as well
as Blythe Floccari and myself, we want to thank
you and are looking forward to your support
again next year.
Thank you,
Bill Campbell
