THE ARTIST KNOWN AS IOANNISSince 1983, Greek-born artist Ioannis has created record cover artwork for over 300 record albums and design for some of the most legendary bands in the music industry such as, The Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Styx, The Allman Brothers Band, Bob Weir, Blue Oyster Cult, Dream Theater, King Crimson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Biohazard, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Quiet Riot, Dokken, Johnny Winter, Extreme, UFO, The Tubes, Eddie Money, Van Zant, and many more. In 1994, he was one of 80 artists selected to create a mural at Woodstock II, and his works have been featured in many websites, fanzines, magazines, books and exhibitions worldwide. He is also an author releasing his first book FADE TO BLACK by Sterling publishing a collection of the best record cover art, and is the subject of many interviews and features about his surreal artwork in a variety of international media.
In the last twenty years Ioannis has designed successful clothing/merchandise lines for a variety of multi million selling music artists including BON JOVI, ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND, DEEP PURPLE, THE ROLLING STONES and many others
In 2013 he completed the cover artwork, design and produced 16 paintings for the book project GET THE LED OUT How Led Zeppelin became the biggest band in the world by classic rock author Denny Somach and legendary NY disc jockey Carol Miller. The book quickly sold out and now is in Its second printing. Ioannis produced a limited edition portfolio of signed prints that is near sellout, and a number of the original pieces have been sold to private collectors, in the ten to fifteen thousand dollar range .
He sells limited edition prints of his artwork and originals to international collectors and is currently licensing his artwork to a variety of media.
