INFORMATIVE PRESENTATION

The nature of an informative presentation is a presentation that is designed and delivered to inform or educate. Its elements are often found in teaching It is more complex than an impromptu presentation or speech

INVENTION

Topic, must be graded to the level of your audiences background knowledge, level of language and interest

You need to think and include key ideas that can be covered in the time allowed

Content is more about knowledge or information than about argumentation

ARRANGEMENT

Need to have a logical organization that audience can following along with relative ease

More complex than impromptu as it may contain more than two key points and the claims often contain more detail than supporting evidence

STYLE

Speaking an accessible manner

Jargon or technical terms that may have to be defined

Using metaphors or verbal imaging that could be used to explain the main ideas or concepts

MEMORY

Should not need to many notes, but if needed should be organized and included in a manner that should not detract from flow of the presentation or the enthusiasm or projection of expertise

DELIVERY

Need to deliver it smoothly

Balance relation of credibility and level or interest
