•Christians taking up arms “in the name of Jesus”

•Christians refusing to take up arms completely

We are engaged in Spiritual Warfare:

•Eph 6v12: “against spiritual forces of evil”

•2 Cor 10v3-5: “spiritual weapons”

The Army Of God

Some New Testament “military” phrases:

•1 Tim 6v12: “Fight the good fight of faith”

•2 Tim 2v3-4: “endure hardship like a good soldier of Jesus

Christ … not entangled with civilian affairs”

•2 Tim 4v7: “I have fought the fight”

As a church we will face Spiritual Warfare:

•Prayer

•Fasting

•Celebration – worship, praise, thanksgiving
