Come and Sing in the Children’s Choir All children ages six through twelve are invited to sing in the Sacred Heart Children’s Choir on Sunday, May 14, for the 9:00 a.m. Mass. This is the Mass on Mother’s Day, which includes the May crowning.
Practices will be on Sunday, April 30 and Sunday, May 7 from 6:00 to 6:45 p.m. in the Choir room downstairs in the parish center. Please email or call Kristen Kosey to sign up at [email protected] or 937-882-6777 (land line).

Celebration of Divine Mercy Next Week Sacred Heart will Celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy next Sunday, April 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This Devotion was revealed to St. Maria Faustina by Jesus.
The afternoon will include the Sacrament of Reconciliation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
During the celebration, we will have Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction, Rosary and Veneration of the Divine Mercy Image and a Relic of St. Faustina. We will close our celebration at 3:00 p.m. with the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, a prayer said to help the most hardened of sinners and anyone far from the Church. Queridos hermanos y hermanas de Roma y de todo el mundo: ¡Feliz Pascua! - Papa Francisco Es una gran alegría, al comienzo de mi ministerio, poderos dar este anuncio: ¡Cristo ha resucitado! Quisiera que llegara a todas las casas, a todas las familias, especialmente allí donde hay más sufrimiento, en los hospitales, en las cárceles. Quisiera que llegara sobre todo al corazón de cada uno, porque es allí donde Dios quiere sembrar esta Buena Nueva: Jesús ha resucitado, está la esperanza para ti, ya no estás bajo el dominio del pecado, del mal. Ha vencido el amor, ha triunfado la misericordia. Siempre vence la misericordia de Dios.
También nosotros, como las mujeres discípulas de Jesús que fueron al sepulcro y lo encontraron vacío, podemos preguntarnos qué sentido tiene este evento (cf. Lc 24,4). ¿Qué significa que Jesús ha resucitado? Significa que el amor de Dios es más fuerte que el mal y la muerte misma, significa que el amor de Dios puede transformar nuestras vidas y hacer florecer esas zonas de desierto que hay en nuestro corazón. Esto puede hacerlo el amor de Dios. Este mismo amor por el que el Hijo de Dios se ha hecho hombre, y ha ido hasta el fondo por la senda de la humildad y de la entrega de sí, hasta
descender a los infiernos, al abismo de la separación de Dios, este mismo amor misericordioso ha inundado de luz el cuerpo muerto de Jesús, y lo ha transfigurado, lo ha hecho pasar a la vida eterna. Jesús no ha vuelto a su vida anterior, a la vida terrenal, sino que ha entrado en la vida gloriosa de Dios y ha entrado en ella con nuestra humanidad, nos ha abierto a un futuro de esperanza.
He aquí lo que es la Pascua: el éxodo, el paso del hombre de la esclavitud del pecado, del mal, a la libertad del amor y la bondad. Porque Dios es vida, sólo vida, y su gloria somos nosotros, es el hombre vivo. Queridos hermanos y hermanas, Cristo murió y resucitó una vez para siempre y por todos, pero el poder de la resurrección, este paso de la esclavitud del mal a la libertad del bien, debe ponerse en práctica en todos los tiempos, en los momentos concretos de nuestra vida, en nuestra vida cotidiana.
Cuántos desiertos debe atravesar el ser humano también hoy. Sobre todo el desierto que está dentro de él, cuando falta el amor de Dios y del prójimo, cuando no se es consciente de ser custodio de todo lo que el Creador nos ha dado y nos da. Pero la misericordia de Dios puede hacer florecer hasta la tierra más árida. He aquí, pues, la invitación que hago a todos: Acojamos la gracia de la Resurrección de Cristo. Dejémonos renovar por la misericordia de Dios, dejemos que la fuerza de su amor transforme también nuestras vidas; y hagámonos instrumentos de esta misericordia, cauces a través de los cuales Dios pueda regar la tierra, custodiar toda la creación y hacer florecer la justicia y la paz.
