TRANSCRIPT
Through Project Appleseed, the
Revolutionary War Veterans Association is
committed to teaching two things:
• Rifle marksmanship and
• Our early American heritage.
A Rifleman has the
ability to place
accurate, aimed fire
on target at
distance within 4
minutes of angle.
1. Sight Alignment
2. Sight Picture
3. Respiratory Pause
4. a) Focus Your Eye on the Front Sight
b) Focus Your Mind on Keeping the
Front Sight on Target
5. Squeeze the Trigger
6. Follow Through and Call the Shot
• IMC is the method a Rifleman uses to take the information on the target and adjust the rifle sights to move the point of impact (POI) to the desired POI.
• IMC is also used to measure POI groups independent of range.
• 1 Minute of Angle (MOA) = 1 Inch per 100 yards
What makes a Rifleman?
A sense of personal responsibility, involvement in our communities, and
civic duty.
"Young man, what we meant in going for those Redcoats was this: we always had governed ourselves and we always
meant to. They didn't mean we should.“(Captain Levi Preston, of the Danvers
militia, at age 91, rememberingApril 19,1775)
Appleseed seeks to honor the Founders by remembering the choices they made. And we seek to pass on to our children what we were given: a third option for civic participation
rather than a choice between submission and violence.www.appleseedinfo.org
