Revision and framing of the syllabi is done by the affiliating university after every three years. Syllabi
are placed on university website for suggestions. Workshops are also organized by the university.
There is very little scope but suggestions are made with the purpose to make the syllabi more
qualitative and relevant.
The college has started Centre of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik in the
college with the purpose providing education to the needy people. The college runs B.A., B.Com.
M.A. (Marathi and English) Programmes. At about 450 plus students were benefited. The results were
remarkable. The college faculty contributes by way of rendering teaching services.

National Service Scheme (N S S Activities)
1) Special NSS Camp was organized in the village called Rendal during 23rd
Feb to 1st March 2017
in which 100 volunteers (51 Boys +49 Girls) participated.
2) The Voter Awareness street play performances were organized in Rendal, Hupari, Rangoli and
Yalgud villages by College NSS unit .Similarly an Oath was delivered to the students on the occasion
Voters Day on 21 February 2017
3) On the occasion of NSS day and Karmaveer Jayanti ,Blood Donation camp was organized by
NSS unit in collaboration with CPR Hospital, Kolhapur on 29th Oct 2015 in which 16 bottles of blood
were collected.
4)A special lecture of Dr. Sanjiv Ankali ,Branch Manager,Bank of Maharastra Hupari on’ Cashless
Economy ‘was organized on 28th Dec 2016. Ten N S S Volunteers were participated in workshop on
‘Awareness about Cashless Economy ‘organized by Annasaheb Dange college, Hatkanangale on
27th January 2017
5) A rally was organized on the occasion of August Kranti Din on 9th Aug 2016 and lecture of Shri.
Appasaheb Desai (Hupari ) was organized on the occasion.
6) An Oath of Indian Constitution was administered to students by way of reading the Preamble of
the Indian Constitution on 26th Nov 2016
7) Lecture of Shri. Digvijay Jadhav (RTO, Kolhapur) was organized on the subject ‘Road Safety’ on
19th Jan 2017.
8) Two NSS Volunteers were participated in residential camp organized by Shivaji University,

organized on 27th December 2016by Department of Geography and Sociology. The workshop
was inaugurated by Dr. B S Jadhav,Head, Department of Geography,Vijaysinh Yadav Arts and
Science College Peth Vadgaon Dist Kolhapur . Dr. P.A Saimote of Mithibai College Vile Parle
Mumbai delivered a lecture on ‘Water Conservation’ , Dr D V Gaikwad of Devchand College
Arjunnagar Nipani talked on ‘Modern Agriculture’. The College LMC Members Shri Mansing
Desai and Shri Mahaveer Shendure were present for this workshop.105 students were participated
for the workshop.Shri R R Salunkhe was the coordinator of this workshop.
2)Another one day workshop on ‘News Writing and Patralekhan ‘was organized jointly by
Samajwadi Prabodhin Ichaljkaranji and Department of Marathi on 4th October 2016 .It was
inaugurated by Dr Bhalba Vibhute,Former Director,Department of Adult and Continuing
Education Shivaji University Kolhapur.shri Prasad Kulkarni, Shri Pandurang Pise and Shri
Dayanand Lipare were the resource persons for this workshop.Nearly 70 students were
participated. Prof B B Jadhav was the coordinator of this workshop.
3)One day workshop on ‘Competitive Examinations and Career Opportunities’ jointly organized
by Competitive Exam Centre and IQAC on 19th January 2017.It was inaugurated by Dr
Nareshchandra Kathole, Former Principal and Director of IAS Akademi Amravathi.He delivered
a key note address.Other resource persons were Dr L Ghatge of Satara,Smt Vaishali
Rajmane,Thesildar Hatkanangale Taluka and Shri Gajanan Deshmukh API Ichalkaraji ()They
covered the topics like Preparation of Competitive Exam,Personality and Preparation. An
interactive session was also conducted during the workshop One hundred thity four (134) were
participated in this workshop. Dr S J Kirdat worked as coordinator while S D Koli was the
coordinators.

The college has set up a Competitive examination centre with the help
of Karmaveer Vidya Prabodhini of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara. The purpose is to make
the students employable through various examinations conducted by MPSC, UPSC, IBPS
and Others such bodies. During the academic year 2015-2016 51 students were admitted in
the centre. A Separate study centre is established with all necessary infrastructures and
facilities. 2computers with free internet access, LCD projector, 4 Newspapers, 18 periodicals
and Video conferencing facility is made available in the centre. Centre remains open from
6.30 am to 10.30 pm. Group discussion and regular guidance is render to the students.
Competent officials and resource persons are invited.
One day workshop was organized on’ Competitive Examinations and
Career Opportunities’ jointly organized by Competitive Exam Centre and IQAC on 19th
January 2017.It was inaugurated by Dr Nareshchandra Kathole, Former Principal and
Director of IAS Akademi Amravathi.He delivered a key note address.Other resource persons
were Dr L.N. Ghatge (Satara),Smt Vaishali Rajmane,(Thesildar Hatkanangale Taluka) and
Shri Gajanan Deshmukh (API Ichalkaraji )They covered the topics like Preparation of
Competitive Exam,Personality and Preparation. An interactive session was also conducted
during the workshop One hundred thirty four (134) were participated in this workshop.

The college runs Skill Development Centre. Prof V H Awaghade of Commerce
department has completed a 21 day Training Programme ‘Train The Trainer’
Mysore Infosys Campus and Now he is heading the department The centre aims at
providing guidance for various skill based courses .
Prof Vishal Kamble delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Communication Skills’ on 15
July 2016 on the occasion of Global Skill Day.On 8th october2016, a special program
was arranged which was inaugurated by Adv B A Desai of Ichalkaranji.
Dr. V. A. Mane of Department of Commerce talked on ‘Entrepreneurship and Skill
Development’.
Dr. Mrs Shobha Supekar of Maharshi Karve Sanstha, Pune delivered a special
lecture under Prime Minister’s Scheme for Skill Based Programme on 21 October
2016 on ‘Business Skills;Need of Today’
Rayat Shikshan Sanstha has taken initiative by establishing MoUs with reputed
companies like BOSCH,Tata Consultancy Services,BVG,Pune and started courses
of short duration with intention to inculcate skill relevant to industries among rural
students .Prof V. S. Kambale and Prof T. S. Patil of English Department has
successfully completed Five- Day Faculty Development Programme for the Course
Campus to Corporate designed by TCS at SGM College Karad during 30th
November 2016- 3rd
December 2016.A combined batch of 64 Students from
Commerce and Arts courses was also started under this course.
The A Placement Cell of the college motivates and guides the students to participate in
campus on and outside the college.ICICI Bank ,TCS have organized the campus
interviews .

5.8 Details of gender sensitization programmes
The College has Anti-Sexual harassment cell in the college. Principal of the is the chairman
of this committee and Prof. Smt. Sandhya Mane, Prof. Smt. Dr. S.C. Khole, Dr. S. M.
Gavade, Prof. P.A. Patil, Smt. S.S. Sambhoji, Adv. Hema katkar, Sou. Meenatai Desai are
the members of the cell. The government circular regarding prevention of sexual harassment
and the penal measures is display on the board.
Another board the name of the cell with their contact numbers is also placed in the veranda
with the intention of easy access to the students suffering with harassment problems and
difficulties
Shri S.Y.Sawant PSI of Hupari police station delivered a special lecture on ‘Harassment of
Girls and Their Security’ on 18 August 2016
The Hupari Police station gave us the Suggestion Box with the Phone Numbers of respective
officials in case of emergency.
Nirbhaya Pathak for girl students was established by Vishwas Nagare Patil and the college
had organized an interaction with students on 6th October 2016 in which Smt Sharyu
Deshmukh (PSI Ichalkaranji),Shri S.Y Sawant (PSI Hupari) were participated.
International Women’s Day was observed on 8th March 2017 in which eminent dalit writer
smt vimal more of Kolhapur delivered a lecture on empowerment of women . mrs dipali
shinde sarpanch Hupari was the chairman .
We are satisfied with the working of the cell because not a single complaint of any sort is
received by the girls’ students of the college.

VISION-To provides the quality education to all, especially to the rural and
socio-economically deprived students in order to make them self reliant and
responsible citizens of the nation.
MISSION –To provide educational facilities to the students of downtrodden
deprived and backward classes of the society.
To prepare the students for the further higher education.
To inculcate values of social equality, feeling of brotherhood and secularism
and self help.
To promote education and enable the students to accept the challenges of the
new era.
To develop overall personality of the students.
This being an affiliated college, has least role to play in curriculum
development. However a few faculty members such as Dr. V. A. Mane Dr.
S. C. Khole Dr. Z. S. Kadam play a major role in curriculum design. Other
faculty members make important suggestions regarding curriculum in
workshops organised on revised syllabi by the university.
Annual Teaching Plan is prepared by respective teachers in accordance with
the academic calendar of the college. Modern amnesties like computers,
LCD Projectors are provided to each department for effective teaching.
Feedback on teaching is sought annually from the student in random number.
Recap regarding the completion of syllabus is sought by the principal in the
term end meetings. After Examinations, Result Analysis is done by each
teacher and result analysis is also scrutinized by the Sanstha.
The parent institution Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara has a management
information system which it shares with the colleges by sending circulars
from time to time. The information consists of transfers, appointments of
office bearers, grievance redressal, Government resolutions etc.

6.3.4 Research and Development
Examinations of all classes are conducted strictly as per the time table of the
affiliating university. Evaluation of the B. A. I and B. Com. I is done by the
college. Evaluation of the other classes is done centrally by the university. At
B. A. III & B. Com. III university examinations are of 40 marks at university
level and 10 marks are for internal evaluation including seminar and Projects.
All examinations are conducted semester wise and results are declared within
fixed time frame by the university.
There is a research committee in the college. Faculty members holding
doctoral degrees are its members. The principal and the research committee
encourage the faulty members to prepare proposals for FIP of the UGC, as
well as Minor Research Projects.
Dr. S. M. Sathe of English department is recognized research guide in English
and his three research candidates,Miss. Ujwala Gosavi ,Vasant Bistannavar
and Pandurang Kirdat have submitted their Ph. D. thesis to Shivaji University
Kolhapur.Miss Ujwala Gosavi was Awarded the Ph D Degree for her thesis
entitled on “Domestic Violence in the Novels of Tehmina Durrani, Alice
Walker, Faith Macknalty and Carie Keaton” inJuly 2017.Miss Nita Gaekwad
got her M Phil for her dissertation on Monica Ali in March 2017under his
guidance
Dr. Zunjarrao S Kadam of Psychology Department has presented a research
paper an International Conference held at Tokyo University,Narita(Japan)
on 26-28 May 2017 ,He has received Financial Assistance for this
presentation in this seminar.
2. Dr. Chandrakant S.Giri of History Department has received Ph. D degree
by Shivaji University, Kolhapur 0n 15/6/2017. His topic for doctoral study was
–History of Jawhar Province (1900-1948).This thesis is also recommended
for Best Thesis Award in History for the year 2017 in the Memory of Late
Sitabai Ramchandra Kulkarni
Dr. S. K. Khot of Hindi department has become recognized Ph. D / M. Phil.
Research guide of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
Shri S.I Barale of Economics Department has completed for two year study
leave for Ph. D.in Economics. He has got Ph. D. Teacher fellowship under
FIP scheme of UGC.
In the year 2015-2016 Smt S.C. Khole has receive UGC funding of Rs
1,30,000/- for minor research project entitled “History of Silver Industry in
Hupari with Special Reference to Contributions of Women”

The corpus fund named Krutdnyata Nidhi is generated centrally by the
parent institution Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara. It disburses the required
amount to the needy and weaker schools and colleges for infrastructural

At local level whenever a need occurs, donations are collected in valid
manner and utilized for development of the college. Accounts are
maintained properly and audits at local, Sanstha and government levels are

The Alumni Association of the college hold at least one meeting in a year. Its
members come together to discuss some vital issues and problems amicably.
It plays very important role in raising funds whenever the need arises.
One of our Almnus donated 100 chairs for our conference hall on his birth
day.
It also contributes a lot by way of discussions and suggestions at the time of
NAAC Accreditation/ Re-Accreditation process.
They attend various functions organized by the college.
Generally we organize parents meeting once in a year with the intention to get
acquainted with their background and social, educational, economic status. We
also discuss the plans of development with them. We make them aware about the
programmes, courses of the college.
In the meet of the Parent –Teachers Association, problems of students are
discussed and solutions to them are invited.
Development programmes for support staff are organized by the parent
institution. Various workshops, lectures and seminars are organized with the
purpose of making them efficient and technically sound.
Our college has planted 50 Neem trees on the campus of the college on 1st July
2016 in response to the Special Plantation drive of Ministry of Forest,Govt of
Maharashtra with the purpose of planting one lakh trees.
A campus beautification committee is formed in the college. Trees are planted on
various occasions.
A well maintained lawn is also one of the features of the college. Ornamental plants
are also grown in the campus of the college.

.founded by Late Dr Narendra Dabholkar this unit is working with the aim of creating

participated in a district level yuva sankalp parishad entitled Hinsela Nakar

A Nature club is at work in the college. Plantation is undertaken by the club. Efforts
are made to keep the campus clean and pollution free. Awareness is created through

Mudbidrion 27 October 2016.He has also worked as university Team
Manager for All India Inter university Table Tennis (women )Tournaments

(Men/Women) at All India Inter University Tournaments organized by
