LIGHT YOURCANDLE, REFLECT, & MEDITATEThe Angel Spirit of Courage

From reading the Scriptures Ive found that angels most

certainly exist both as physical beings and spiritual beings

created by God to serve Him, though created higher than man.

Angels function as messengers of God and perform many different tasks.

When recently confronted with enormous challenges, tasks and tests of character, I

prayed for God to sent an angel to help me as I had read in 2 Chronicles 32:21

(KJV): And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour,

and the leaders and captains in the camp of the King of Assyria. So he returned

with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his

god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him with the sword. I prayed

continuously for weeks making much supplication for God to send one of His holy

angels, His ministering beings maybe one of the holy angels written of in the

Scriptures like Gabriel or Michael to my assistance and protection. I did this

because I had read that angels as messengers of God sometimes appear out of

nowhere most often in the form of man and perform tasks such as protecting and

guiding human beings and carrying out Gods wishes. Before I tell you what Imiraculously learned and the meditation that I have composed as a result, let me

first tell you the pearls of wisdom that the Bible has taught me about angels.

Angels are different from ordinary people who carry messages. Job 1:14

KJV: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were

plowing, and the asses feeding beside them; Luke 7:24 KJV:And when the

messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people

concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness for to see? A reed

shaken with the wind?; as well as Luke 9:52 KJV:And sent messengers

before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to

    make ready for him.

Angels are different from prophets. Isaiah 42:19 KJV:Who is blind, but my

servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is

perfect, and blind as the Lords servant?; Malachi 3:1 KJV: Behold, I will

send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord,

whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to this temple, even the messenger of thecovenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of

    hosts.

Angels are different from priests. Malachi 2:7:For the priest's lips should

keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the

messenger of the LORD of hosts.

Angels are different from church leaders. Revelation 1:20 KJV:Themystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven

golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and

the seven candlesticks, which thou sawest, are the seven churches.

Angels are mentioned about 117 times in the Old Testament and 180 times in

the New Testament as ministering spirits or ministering beings. They stand in the

heights of the universe and with awe proclaim in unison the words of the living

God and everlasting King. We dont think of angels as having physical bodies like

humans; however, when the occasion demands angels can take on human form asevidenced in Hebrews 13:2 (KJV) where it is written be not forgetful to entertain

strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

When angels do appear, they generally appear in the form of men.

Exodus 33:2 KJV: and I will send an angel before thee; Numbers 20:16

KJV: and when we cried unto the Lord, He heard our voice, and sent an

    angel

God often sends angels in times of trouble, tribulation, and distress.Genesis 21:17 KJV: and God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of

God called Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her, What aileth thee, Hagar?

Fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.; Genesis 24:40

KJV: and he said unto me, the Lord, before whom I walk, will send His angel

with thee, and prosper thy way; Exodus 3:2 KJV: And the angel of the

    Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush;

Psalms 91:11 KJV: For He shall give His angels charge over thee, to keep

thee in all thy ways.; Daniel 6:22 KJV: My God hath sent His angel, andhath shut the lions mouth, that they have not hurt me; Matthew 26:52-53

KJV: Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all

they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Thinkest thou that I

cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than

    twelve legions of angels?

Angels are not God but God sends them. Angels are strong but not

omnipotent which would make them able to do absolutely anything even thelogically impossible just as God does. Angels are great in knowledge but not

omniscient which would allow them to know everything that can be known just as

God knows. Angels appear when God deems it so but are not omnipresent which

would make them able to be present everywhere just as God is. From what is

written in the Scriptures about the tasks they perform, it appears as though angels

represent the spirit of truth, goodness, courage, healing, enlightenment

(knowledge, wisdom, understanding), justice, fairness, harmony, mercy,

compassion, and death; however, angels are not omnibenevolent which would

enable them to have unlimited or infinite benevolence just as the Almighty God.

And, we do not put our trust in or rely on men or angels but we trust in and rely on

    God.

Even from what we read in the Scriptures, we dont know what the job of

every angel actually is. Angels as spiritual beings are often depicted as

messengers of God in the Hebrew and Christian Bibles along with the Quran.

Biblical authors have written about two classes of angels cherubim and

seraphim. One can read about the cherubim in Genesis 3:24; Exodus 25:18-20,22; Exodus 26:1, 31; Exodus 36:8, 35; Exodus 37:7-9; Numbers 7:89; 1 Samuel

    4:4; 2 Samuel 6:2; 1 Kings 6:23, 25, 27-29, 32, 35; 1 Kings 7:29, 36; 1 Kings

    8:6-7; 2 Kings 19:15; 1 Chronicles 13:6; 1 Chronicles 28:18; 2 Chronicles 3:7, 10,

    11, 13, 14; 2 Chronicles 5:7-8; Psalms 80 ;1; Psalms 99:1; Isaiah 37:16; Ezekiel

    41:18, 20, 25; Hebrews 9:5 KJV. It is written of the seraphim in Isaiah 6: 2, 6

KJV. In the Bible, seven holy angels are mentioned but only two are mentioned by

name Gabriel (Daniel 8:16; Daniel 9:21; Luke 1:19, 26 KJV) and Michael

    (Daniel 12:1; Jude 1:9; Revelation 12:7 KJV).

Angels are depicted as having God-given responsibilities of praising and

worshiping Him; serving as messengers to communicate His will; guiding

    mankind from evil to good following Divine instruction; providing physical needs;

MEDITATION FORCOURAGEJournaling is one of the easiest and most powerful ways

to accelerate your personal development. Writing your

thoughts will help you gain insights youd otherwise

never see. Start a meditation journal today!

Here is a meditation to hopefully receive the blessing of the spirit of

courage. Meditate with it at least 20 minutes daily for two weeks.

"Oh Lord, my God it has come to pass that I lack courage, boldness,

bravery, endurance, determination, and confidence. That which has troubled me

has increased. That which has troubled me has made me to be of no courage and

caused the boldness of my strength to fall away and quake at my imagined

destruction. My heart has melted so that no courage remains in me. As my

courage has abated Imake supplication to You, the Almighty God andgive thanks

for the new heart and right spirit that You will create within me. Iwill be

courageous to keep and do all that You command. I will run upon situations

courageously through the midst of personal battles slaying trials, troubles, and

temptations on the right hand and on the left. Iwillbehave myself valiantly and

know that You will do that which is good in Your sight. Iwillwait on You, the

Mighty God; be of good courage knowing that You will strengthen my heart. Iwill

wait I say on the Lord. I thank You, Almighty God, and take courage.
