VOL. 18 JUNE-JULY 2016 NO. 3

I Timothy 2:1-4 is the prayer watchword for everything we do in the Northshore Baptist Association.

From the Heart of Your DOMM Dear Friends, Summer brings with it the promise of many opportunities for cooperative ministry in the NSBA region. Chief among these are the two World Changers weeks June 13-25 in West St. Tammany and South Tangipahoa. I’m very excited about the July 25th Pastors/Ministers Conference in Madisonville. Bridge Church is hosting. We’ll hear about the state of lostness in our region as well as updates on revitalization and church multiplication. Then on August 12 we will host a team of trainers from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. This group will provide all your church will need in the area of “Sunday School Essentials.” For details regarding these events please look elsewhere in this edition of The Anchor or visit the website: www.northshorebaptists.net. With VBS, camp, summer mission trips, and so much more going on in our member churches, I am reminded of our Association Watchword from 1 Timothy 2:1-4: Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (NKJV). Remember: We are “better together.” The magnitude

of our mission demands healthy cooperation within our

family of churches.

Partnership ministries

Partnership Ministries - A blessed thanks to Neil O’Donnell (Director of Missions) and LeFlore Baptist Association of Poteau, Oklahoma. He and four of his pastors spent two days meeting and assessing local re-build projects and potential ministry opportunities at our NSBA churches. Neil and LeFlore Baptist Association committed to a three-year ministry and missions project in Southeast Louisiana to our local churches. Information on scheduling soon to come. If your church knows of construction needs, or your church could use assistance with VBS and other ministry needs please send an e-mail to [email protected] describing the need or ministry so we can match you up with crews and ministers coming to our area.
